Somehow Kabam managed to find the one "idea/solution" that hurt all players, big spender, low spender, ftp. Honestly that is impressive.

Might be. I dont know. I am in a top 30 alliance, and less than a handfull of the players in the alliance care about BGs. People see it as a grind and often root to frustration , but of course we all get to GC and play around, but not seriously and no body care. And despite not liking BGs, we do spend, so this helps keep the game alive, I guess.

I think it’s the opposite. F2P are now approaching having a full deck of r4s in battlegrounds and this moves the goalposts in favor of an advantage

Yes but f2p players won't have as many toxic defenders at r4 as a whale because whales spend money towards crystals andcatalysts to rank up. They will have more of the best characters available. In the average whale vs f2p match similar skill level 9 times out of 10 the whale will win purely on roster depth

How much prestige do you have? If you're a true endgame f2p player then you'll have around 31k+. At that point the only advantage whales have that don't have R5s are just dark phoenix and human torch. You should have almost all top meta champs ranked, and you should be able to easily hold your own against whales with similar skill levels as you.

I didn't say anywhere that FTP wasn't in top BG... I literally said that FTP players can have half a deck of R4 and the rest R3, the gap between rank 3 & 4 isn't that big meaning that FTP can compete.

I was responding to people saying that this only benefits whales

But the players who don't even have a full deck of R3 wont be able to compete but they also haven't put enough time/effort in the game to compete otherwise they'd have enough ranked up champs
