My thoughts on the lunar event.

My thoughts on the Lunar New Year event are as follows: the milestones are taking too much time to complete. The concept of the Last Poker Game has been forgotten, which was a huge win in my opinion. Now we have this ridiculously repetitive and tedious alternative.
The Lunar envelopes are underwhelming. The RNG on them is shocking. After I stopped playing the game mode, I opened 50 of them and only received ISO, gold, and the occasional Bronco Coin.
It would be great if Kabam could address this event with the community, because I see a lot of negative feedback. The criticism is warranted. In previous years, the Lunar events were great. The small unit boost was much needed after players had already spent during the Banquet. To me, in previous years it felt like the Lunar events were giving back and giving Summoners a head start on the unit grind before July 4th.

This event is a pain in the jambalaya

Just like the other poker event it is rigged. It is set up for the big spenders just everything else so they can be guaranteed at those top rewards. I have done hundreds of matches and the only time i can get a decent set is when i use energy. If i use a token then it wont pop even a three suit and if it does it’s the lowest scoring suit. they make people think if they just spend a little more on more tokens they will get some good hands but that is not the case. Its just another money grab and doing stuff like that makes this game not very fun when you do match after match to have the same not good outcome but people will continue to buy into it and kabam will keep releasing **** like this

The top prize is 7* Heimdahl, duped and max sig!!

Of course u have to work for it!!

Should kabam just b giving away things all the time?

Bottom line, if u don't like it, if u feel it's a waste of time, if u don't want to grind for it, then don't do it. There's no law that says u have to do every event.

I stand with kabam on this one.

This event is super fun!

Just remember that is headed for all Summoners, from Proven to Valiant.

And the rewards are quite good.

I got 300 units more or less.

Some got 7 stars champions.

You don't have to complain with the milestones, but with your luck.

Kabam should have just tossed February content and decisions in the garbage disposal. It’s sad this event + dimensional arcade gets further than small talk at the coffee machine in the morning at Kabam HQ.

agree. I’ve seen a few of these threads and Kabam ignores them all lol event will end, nothing will change and we will move on. Hopefully, in their silence, they’re taking notes and doesn’t make march's event trash like febs

My advice for those who don’t want to grind

Use bronco tokens and aim for 5 wood or 5 water

It will cut down on grinding by a lot

I'm going to add this frustration - Taking three chances to draw one additional water card by drawing three additional cards and getting none of those three separate times when playing with Bronco tokens is a waste of a Bronco token. It's gambling in this mode and just like when it happens in real life and doesn't pay off, it sucks, but even more so because you had to go through three tedious fights to get to that point and then make the decision if it's even worth it for 75 measly points. It's grindy, it's gambling, and it's outright gross, not fun. They did this. They made this worse than the last outing, and they need to be reminded of that. Hell, the last one you lucked into good hands far more often than you do this one. And you can say RNG isn't in your favor, but experiencing this bull hockey more than once when I'm not going for anything but three of a kind? No. At that point it's coded greed.

I got a seven star first edition gold pool which is nice. I'm at close to 160k point at the moment, I'm out of bronco tokens so I'm done.

I grinded, reached all milestones and didn’t get a single unit. Not one. Agree, the RNG is shockingly bad. It’s a shame, too, really. After all the good that was banquet Kabam really dropped the ball with concert of champions and now the lunar event. This needs to be addressed. The goodwill that banquet established after a very checkered 2025 is being unraveled FAST.

Naturally you're more likely to get the lower-scoring "cards", that's why they're lower-scoring!

My general strategy is to initially aim for the colour I have the most of, if I have 2 of 2 different colours then I go for the higher-scoring ones. If by round 3 I don't have at least 3 of a higher-scoring card, then I use the final round to swap out every card that isn't Fire (the lowest-scoring by most likely to appear) and hope for the best.

I just got 88 units after finishing all of the milestones.

There's 2 weeks of this event, is there any hope they might hear us and revise the milestone rewards to include more units? Throwing this out there that a sane Kabam employee may see this, but not holding any breath.

Giving us better RNG for units would make this event a little palpable to grind through.
