To whomever play tested the destroyer fight.

Good Sir or Madam,

If this is what you find a fun challenge I believe you deserve the title of greatest MCOC player of all time. My hat is truly off to you that you were able to try this fight and abstain from adding yet another timer to keep track of to add even more fun to this amazingly designed encounter.

Once again, you are the greatest MCOC player of all time. One note if i am allowed to offer any advice to a god such as yourself. In the future if you could run the fight by one of us mere mortals it would be greatly appreciated. Not all of us are the possessor of your godly skill.

If you don’t have deathless she hulk it’s a bit more challenging but still pretty easy. Use Onslaught. He bypasses the miss. 10 bars easy

I will say the AI is terrible. I had a taunt on him and was trying to bait an sp2 and this guy, with sp2 bias, smacks me with an sp3. Happened twice

I have 80 on all the other defenders and I honestly don't know what I'm going to do against this destroyer......I have tried 6 times already and literally have "Zero" health bars cleared. I've played this game over 10 yrs and I'm not going to lie, if this is what the game is providing us to earn rewards, I officially quit!

If Kabam wants to challenge and hand out rewards to their top 50k players and slap everyone in the face.…this game won't be around much longer.

I did feel your despair when i tried using photon R4, only cleared 1 bar and died.

but then i saw people using Quicksilver, i took my 7* to R2, and managed to clear like 8 bars first try, then cleared even 10 bars in one run, managed to clear all 80 poiints with like 4 energy reffils and 1.5 hours of time.

rank up your quicksilver, he is the goat for this fight imo.

if u do decide to use quicksilver, here is how to do it.

dex multiple times to apply wither debuffs (this will shut down and reverse the power gain)
use sp1s to refresh the withers.
dash back to gain more momentum (300 momentum and above, you ignore miss, so you can counter the falter node)
after you reach maximum velocity (900 momentum), use sp2, and double the whiplash and detonate, you need at least 25 whiplash to double them to 50 i believe)

some extra tips:

Run inequity 3/3 to reduce damage by 36% (you will always have lots of debuffs on opponent)
Set attacker stat to block proficiency if to take even less block damage.
run all the best boosts you have, 30% champion boost, 20% attack boost, 25% hp boost, even a power boost if u want.
Mainly bait the sp1s, its easier to dodge, (i assume you suck at the sp2 dodge, so why suffer?)

I tried practicing with quicksilver.…I never honestly used him prior. Trying to focus on everything and avoid getting a special 3 on me because the defender doesn't cooperate just makes this fight even worse. People can't just rank up champs and hope it solves this event. Players should at least be notified of what's coming and allow them to plan for rank ups. Because if Players can't rank up champions for this fight, they probably just wasted the last 6 weeks fighting the other bosses just to lose out on this last boss. It's honestly disheartening, especially for a long tenured player like myself.

i also got zero bars my first 3-4 runs just testing champs, if u dont have a way to control his power, he is pretty much impossible. so, i dont think its a BS fight, its a fun fight, and he turns into a lemon if u have the right counters.

you still have 2 weeks to do it, so u can get materials in the meantime to rank up a better counter.

also, if the fight is too bad for you but u want the rewards…here is some math

80 points

average 5-6 points per day required. now, assuming the worst, if u clear 1 bar per run, u can do 5-6 runs per day, thats roughly 2-3 energy reffils , however if u grind 3 points in the morning, wait for your energy to fill, then in the evening grind another 2-3 points, you're safe.. no headaches, no stress.

This fight is ridiculous. Destroyer keeps spamming special , builds charges and shoots up to sp 3. Its impossible to get more than onr bar.

Tried Onslaught, killed by sp 3 before 1 bar

Tried Shuri, did better but killed by sp 3 on 2nd bar.

Tried Quicksilver, wither made the match longer but he spammed 3 sp 1s back to back and reached sp 3 shortly after. 1 bar cleared.

Tried Photon and she can control the charges with her debuffs, almost got to 2 health bars before he started spamming sp 1.

Every time, he just gets to a point where he starts sp 1, by the time you finish dodging and counter, he launches his next sp 1 and after 3, he is practically ready for his power meter overdrive to special 3. The falter slows the match further. Not sure what to do.

Ok i discovered my mistake with Photon, she places taunt with special 2, so got to use only special 1.

Even then he literally launched special 1 4 times back to back. Kabam, needs to do strengthen the node forcing Destroyer to hold till special 2. Its just not working as intended. Its making things too rng dependent.

Hot take: Not everything in this game is supposed to be fun :0. Looking at the whales who've 100% every content right out the gate and are on top of the leaderboards, I doubt every step of the way was "fun".

Also, Destroyer is way easier than Xbones. 6 star Void's averaging about 8 bars.

Have you tried Void? Play very defensively at first to build the debuffs. Once you have petrifies up, Destroyers power gain is neutralized. You can then start baiting sp1s and at that point you only have to watch the falter timer. This can definitely get you 5+ bars a run when you get the hang of it.

I used onslaught and some general tips that helped me:

Never let him sp1
hold block and let him heavy till sp2
Heavy counter his heavy
Learn to dex sp2

I was able to get 14 bars like this. Maybe send a pic of your usable champions and one video of your good attemp so far?

Doesnt work for me. This is how my Onslaught fight typically goes.

Combo + Heavy

Combo + Heavy cancel SP 1

Everytime he tries a special 1, i punish with heavy and same with his heavy attack. Cant do it for special 2. Then around 1-2 bars, he just keep launching special 1 regardless of whether i am standing far away or blocking. Then i have to play the baiting game and he literally waits till his special 3 becomes active. The second it does, he launches it.

I am able to push him to special 2 consistently in one of 5 games. Otherwise he launches special 1 any chance he can get. The fight is problematic
