Unpopular opinion: I actually like Coliseum 🤷🏽..and here is why.

IMO, it gave a challenging way to get r5 materials that only cost energy and time. No revives or health potions needed.

It being champion specific was unusual, and sometimes annoying, but doable.

My personal issues were 1). it costing 25 energy points per entry. It should have been 15, and 2). the defender often being too passive.

Overall, I enjoyed this new mode that took us somewhere different.

Alliance one is way better. 1st: it's slightly easier so you get points either way. 2nd: You get so much energy you can play as much as you want and there are no champion restrictions so you actually get to try different people.

In Solo, you find the one you can get the most out of the few that are viable options and use a few energy refills and you are done and wait 13 days until the next one.

Well if I am not wrong ..not many said they did not like the Coliseum. The fights were an issue cos of the passive AI and the energy, just like what you mentioned.
The people who completely hated it seemed like they are probably bad at the game or cannot understand the nodes to work through it.
This is about the solo one.
The alliance one is just too short to grind out the whole thing..thats it

It gave me somewhere to burn the ridiculous amount of refills I accumulate.

I didnt hate it, cost nothing but time and had pretty decent rewards.

Yeah it really wasn't that bad as some are saying. It didn't cost anything to do but energy and time (some of us more time than others 🤣) to get some of the BEST rewards out right now.

In the end, it was a win to me.

Hard disagree.

You dont seem to understand how much of a time sink and restrictive is ally colisium. 5 Podium grinds to lvl 3 in 3 days. No thanks.

Solo Coliseum

I agree that in principle solo coliseum was good - dont mind grinding lower difficulty opponents and the rewards were a huge thumbs up.

My problem is that stupid node that makes the defender launch special 2 more often. I dont care what others say, it was NOT working as intended. If that node was working as intended, the solo coliseum would have been a W in my book. The 25 energy didnt bother me. I think 20 is the sweet spot which gives you 3 tries at full health but 25 was not much of a stretch.

Alliance Coliseum

Alliance coliseum ws too short for a defender that had too few counters and required too many things to keep track of. It also didnt help that you needed to use 5 different champs for the same defender to get points. They need to make it more skill based instead of roster based and with less things to keep track of. A difficult AI and lots of nodes to slip you up with a defender that has to be played a certain way to be able to counter is a frustrating combination. The rewards can use an upgrade too.

solo coliseum was and is amazing.

it’s well spaced out, gives you plenty of time to do it, and there’s no “punishment” or “feel bad factor” for doing badly in it, or not doing it at all, apart from missing out on resources.

Alliance coliseum sucked because it was a huge timesink and set over waaaaawy too small a time frame. and essentially if you were in an alliance you felt forced to do it. So it made you feel pressurised to do it.

if the alliance coliseum format had been solo content, it wouldn’t have felt so bad because you could have just ignored it completely. it was still horrendous and a terribly designed format..but at least you’re not letting down 29 other people.

You don't have to get them all to lvl 3. Just get a good score on lvl 2 for most of them. It's not restrictive at all because you only have to use certain people for boosts. You aren't forced to use all 3 tags to get a top score.

Yeah, you don't have to get to 6M points though. A full alliance everyone needs just under 2M to get alliance milestones and I'm pretty sure solo was not that high also.

Solo coliseum was solid overall with really good rewards, however having to use 25 energy points per entry was absurd.

don’t remember “many” saying they didn’t like Coliseum ,..maybe kabams choice of defenders and nodes,.especially in regards to Alliance format.

It was sold as “being engaging “,..not restrictive. They made it restrictive by choice and the limited pool of champs available to use.

Those are “Kabam moves” peeps aren’t liking,..not the actual game mode.
