Battlegrounds 100 point for 10k radiance GC too tough for the little-uns
For the most part I am ftp. I’ll make an occasional purchase such as just recently getting the double track event cause I decided Kitty Pryde might be worth it this time.
Ok that said, obviously being a low to nothing spender, my roster ain’t packing. I struggle in battlegrounds. I can always get to GC but then I can never get higher than 80 points so rarely to never pick up the 10k radiance etc.
I suck? Nah, I would hazard a guess I’m pretty average, maybe even above average. But my 12 x R4s are pretty much ALWAYS outgunned by decks that have 30 to 40 r4s, often with 2 to 4 R5s. They also always have Solvarch, Britain, D Thanos, Dark Phoenix, all the top bgs champs and I have none of those. Yea, it’s possible to be completely outgunned and through some luck and sheer genius ability beat them. But I’m not Trappy. I’m not rubbish but nor do I have those kind of skills.
So get more R4s? Yes trying. But that takes several months and then the whales have bought more anyway and will then just have R5s.
With all that being said, I don’t mind that there are whales. They keep this game going. But I am now forfeiting matches just looking at full R4 rosters during the banning stage, knowing that I can’t punch up to the extent I need to in order to get to the 100 point milestone (and forget about 200 pts).
The reason for the timeline for getting the radiance at 100 and 200 was to stop big accounts from lingering down among the lower tiers. But would it not be feasible to actually make the amount of fights count rather than just a timeline? I have to fight 10x more than someone with whale rosters, so my 10x should be rewarded, even if they are losses. And just don’t add forfeits to this. If bgs is always gonna be too paywalled to the extent where I don’t get ANY roster progress, then I just give up. Tired of it.
