Lady Death Strike

Honestly, I didn’t feel any significant difference in Lady Deathstrike, even after the value adjustments. She still feels like the same character. The rebalance wasn’t exciting at all. Unfortunately, she remains a character that very few players will choose to rank up to 7★ R4.

I ranked mine up expecting a major improvement, but sadly I’m coming away disappointed with this update.

Has anyone else tested her?

I haven't tested Lady D, however sandman feels similarly to me. After reading his buff notes I expected to get quite a big benefit. After playing my R3 I'm struggling to monopolize on the extra heavy attack, as his indestructible is reducing my resistance and I lose the ability to get that fourth heavy attack. His damage just doesn't feel very different.

On a positive note, Emma is feeling really good now! Definitely going to take her to R4 soon and hopefully I get her ascension mats on the earlier side.

Sandmans new rotation requires using a special to enter unstable. Knocking down with a special only uses 3 resistence, meaning you have 17 left which is 4 heavy attacks as opposed to his old rotation which was 4 knockdowns max from any source

That's what I was doing, but if you use his indestructible to gain an opening for the heavy, you lose 2 resistance for being struck. So you're back at 15 resistance after the special. Parrying does counter this, but it's unfortunate to lose that ability to gain the opening after specials, especially if there is something inhibiting your ability to parry reliably (like photon)

Actually I just read his kit and I should only lose 1 when struck. I tried it again and it's true, I'm only losing 1 now. Not sure what I was screwing up before lol. I'm glad the kit is smoother than I initially exprienced!

r4s200 lds here, and testing her in rol seems the same, maybe slightly faster now. I don’t notice much of a difference.

Two things.

Did you actually manually update the game? i had to go in app store to find the game, which said open, not update. So i had to actually click on the game for it to say update. I thought i was going crazy when i was testing Cap SW but after the update, everything's changed as should. Although the kit in game seems to not be updated ( Intercept/ heavy for bulwark still says consumes )
And secondly, the attack and armour rating scaling will feel much more noticeable with the increase in Challenger Rating when ascended. Challenger rating increases stat focuses against lower CRs

The frustration that came with this update for Lady was huge, in my opinion.

They emphasized in the live stream that her breakthrough would be something amazing, but in testing, it was nothing rewarding — it left a lot to be desired.

Honestly, it feels like I was driving a 1.0 engine car and now I’m driving a 1.2.

Was this really what they intended to deliver for Lady?

Lady D is definitely better. She's only slightly faster in ROL sure, but in longer fights which she was always intended for she goes much harder. Her base ruptures are quite a bit stronger with the new scaling. Once you start ramping the damage will go pretty ham. I've had a R4 sig 200 for a while.

I can also comment on Sandman since I've had him R4 sig 200 for a while as well. He currently has a bug in his description and I'm unsure if it's actually affecting his heavy proficiencies (they seem mostly fine to me, maybe a little lower than usual). It's certainly tight to get that extra heavy, but when you're prioritizing debuffs for a matchup it's absolutely massive that I don't have to worry about whether or not I trigger unstable during my special. Another thing is that with the extra heavy I don't need to build as many heavy proficiencies in short fights because I can get an extra one and the damage is better anyways.

I'll also comment about Aarkus since I've also had him R4 sig 200 for a while. He feels quite a bit smoother which was his exact problem and the sp1 burst does more damage which is pretty nice.

Not much to say about IDoom except the austere buff is huge. My #1 problem with IDoom who I've also had R4 and sig 200 for a while, was that his armor buff got nullified which killed a lot of mystics he'd be good. A lot of those nullify nodes like buffet also made him extremely annoying to play. The first hit of the heavy thing is not crazy big but it's welcomed. Not necessarily a part of his kit, but the energy vulnerability is now gonna trigger against a couple more champs which is pretty great and definitely worth mentioning.

I played IDoom, Lady D, and Sandman pretty successfully in Coliseum and the buffs will definitely make them better there and beyond. I'm also hoping to use Aarkus even more now that he's a lot smoother.

Another buff I'll mention is Storm X who feels crazy good now. I only have her R2 sig 40 but the damage and easy access to the alternate tempests is great. Obviously a lot more prowess but another thing to note is that the unblockable is easier to access and her Sp3 attack boost is crazy easy to access for fights with crit res. Also the debuff damage is nicer.

Emma feels better and her damage is better, but I will note that I'm having a bug where she's only getting one prowess in diamond form.

My Korg is only R1 but I tried him a bit and he seems pretty cool. He's like an easier to play Frankencastle that doesn't need to re-ramp. The damage seems lower than Frank's but again I only have him R1

There are a couple of buffs that I don't feel great/am unsure, but it's a couple champions that I haven't really played or have at a meaningful star rarity so I won't comment.

I was only losing 1. If you start charging heavy immediately and launch it a little early before they hit that helps but I was consistently entering heavies at 16 resistence

Her buff is mostly apparent in content with attack boosts. Thats what the change was mostly to do with, her rupture damage didnt used to scale with attack boosts

Its possible if you were fighting a skill champion that they caused you to lose additional resistence maybe?

I was fighting ROL juggy, I think maybe I hit the opponent before charging the heavy and didn't notice. I'm not really sure, but after some practice I'm very happy with Sandy's buff! Hoping to pull his ascension mats!
