Carina Challenges - Villain Planning

I’ve had the free time to think about and plan the carina challenges and although we do not know the paths for the abyss challenge yet, the villain one is going to be incredibly easy with Venom and Scorpion as well as DThanos and Onslaught. Ordeal will be carried by Onslaught and Serpent as well with filler champs to cover the few fights they can’t take.

Now about the Epoch Gauntlet, not knowing if they’ll have the path nodes, it seems to me that Lumatrix might be incredibly useful for this one. He seems to cover at least 4-5 fights per lane if I’m not mistaken (except path 2, the debuff path) and with the energy resistance he might even take Onslaught or at least be able to nuke through him with a few revives.

A team of Lumatrix, Scream, Scorpion, Juggernaut and perhaps Serpent should do the trick? I’m just struggling to find a viable option for Annihilus, I used to hate that fight and still find it restricting. Feel free to help the planning!

For abyss, I'm using Abs man, Dthanos, Dshe hulk, onslaught, and sinister. Ordeal will be similar, but I'll swap out Dshe hulk for apoc. My plan for Epoch is very unclear since we don't know what's changing.

Epoch isn't changing, it's just going to be all of the fights in a row. It will be the same nodes as it is but you have to do all of them. Possible Ares change, but I doubt it. Just wait for Epoch gauntlet to come out and everything will be flooded with the best options, then pick from that.

I know there will be guides but the planning is half the fun, feels like Iron Man inventing time travel in endgame, I love finding fitting solutions.

I agree, epoch is hard to plan, if the linked nodes from the original are returning for the gauntlet then ts is cooked✌🏽

can hulk really carry fights in ordeal like people say? He was one of the only champs I was missing out of the basic and I finally got him the other day. How bad does he want that awakening?

prob spider woman instead of spider ham. Unless you’re referring to the taunt. Scorp might could do that fight as well. Or photon but I don’t think her taunt is potent enough if I remember right - just for options

Doesn't need awakening at all. All you need to do is sp3 at 15 furies then just hit the opponent. If you have revives to spare, you can do the sp3 rotation and then spam sp1s to stun lock. Every sp3 + stun lock rotation takes out more than 50%. Hulk is also an MVP for Thanos since he has the Avengers bonus.

I think Okoye might be pretty beneficial too for death by debuffs. She can solo that whole path. It’s kinda cheesy lol. Sentry does the same but okoye might be of more value bc of her anti evade

Make sure to equip the spider man 2099 relic on hulk.

Yeah, ham is for vision (since you need taunt or Medusa’s armor shatter), and i’m using him for dragon man and mojo

Yeah, but the issue is, this epoch is a gauntlet, so it’s every boss on a single path, other than that, I have no idea what else is changing, which makes it hard to plan. If the additional linked nodes from original are returning then I’ll revise my teams.

I’ve heard people have a lot of success with him, I’m mainly using him for doom, ibomb, and thanos. Doesn’t need awakening, it’s pretty useless here.

I did the abyss mutant challenge just past year, with Onslaught, Mr s. (for charges max of Apoc), Apoc (for horseman Onslaught),Prof x (sinergies) and Mags. All had uses, although specially Onslaught.

I guess i'll repeat the first three, as prof x is not a villian, and I think we can use only 7* (Mags was so good for some opponents...)

I followed partially this strategy for Necro from @willrun4adonut : Apoc goes in, died to first enemy, revived, to make onslaught a horseman.

As in the past abyss challenge, I guess i'll do 3-1 path, as in path 1 there's that CMM that I think only mystics could defeat without a revive fiesta. Maybe one of the two changes can be Juggernaut...

It’s hard to say without knowing which path in Abyss we will have to take or if it’s any path. It’s also hard to say without knowing what the Epoch quest will end up looking like because we know it’s going to be a fully new quest with all the fights in a row with no choice nodes so this one is going to require big brain planning unless you want to Unitman it.

Is very likely going to be the MVP for #hero for botch Epoch and Abyss so everyone should rush to r3 asap, I know I definitely am going to.
