Villains Ordeal

Okay so I pre-fired the villain ordeal objective by doing all the lane fights already, the plan was to take down thanos once the objective is unlocked.

Why? Cuz I had time (during spring break), and I don't know when I'll have that time once the objective does open up later this week (break is over 💔). Anyway, I thought it wouldn't be a problem logistically, but I double checked on discord to ask if it would count and a couple ppl said it would.

But, now I'm hearing that it won't work if you take down nick fury, which I've already cleared🗿.

For reference, this is where I'm currently at on the map:

I haven't taken the teleporter to the final boss island yet. Am I cooked? I don't wanna do this again... 😭

It should be fine. The objective is to complete it, not just defeat Nick like some of the CCP carinas were.

The Carina’s Challenges that involve the regular Grandmaster’s Gauntlet are the ones that include an objective to defeat Nick Fury first. That’s because the Grandmaster’s Gauntlet has those optional exit portals that let you skip to the boss every 5 fights, so requiring you defeat Nick Fury ensures that you actually do the whole quest instead of taking those shortcuts to Thanos and skipping a majority of the fights.

The Ordeal version does not have those exit portals, just the one path through all 20 fights into Thanos, so there’s no need for the “defeat Nick Fury” objective; you can’t skip any of the fights in the first place.

Would you mind breaking down who you used for each champ? I'm really wondering who you used on Sassy. I'm thinking DSH, but I'd imagine LDS with her heal block could work as well.

I used DSH for sassy, iirc the lifecycle node on sassy turns off all dot dmg so LDS wouldn't be great for it.

Yeah, that's what I figured. It would be a very long fight with life cycle, but potentially doable with the heal block. I was planning on bringing in DSH anyways.

She was highkey amazing and really fun to play. Did everything I brought her in for, and more. Originally, I only planned her for wpx, domino, and apoc, but she also killed it on km and fury. I was tempted to try her on bpcw fight too, but the footloose worried me a bit with how it stops her flow, so I went with abs on that one.

Interesting. I know the general knock on LDS is that blocking makes you lose ferocity. Did fights feel slow at all or did you not really feel the need to try and maximize ferocity?

as someone who also has a r4 max sig hood, he’s terrible for any type of long form content as you’ll just run out of bullets and the fight will take forever. His kit also isn’t really needed to counter any ordeal fights, doubt he could even do Terrax well.

Guys, I'm planing my team and so far I got:
Onslaught R4
Sentinel R4
Nefaria R4
DSH R3
Zemo or Bastion both R4

I still haven't quite figured out how to do evade fights with Zemo. If you just wait for the enemy to get rooted, the fights are way too long and not very safe, and because of that, I'm thinking of using Bastion. The problem is that using his heavy attack against Spider Ham can be a problem if it has more than 6 charges. Also, Zemo would be great against Void. I don't have Serpent either, unfortunately.

Maybe I don't need to bring Nefaria, but fighting Terrax and coming out with 100% HP helps a lot.

U'd need a poison immune science , sm with taunt preferably, so they'll work for viz, dman, mojo, ibom, and sassy. I've seen scorp/ dsh used for that and I think lizard would also work (maybe).

R4 Kindred should do very well against BPCW.

Basically, all his threat comes from the Armour + Regeneration buffs, with concurrent Unblockable.

Cutting the buff duration by 90% with Atrophy would make Kindred a pretty solid option, I'd have thought.
