Abyss of Legends - Carina - Noob Seek Advice

So I have just finish the 2 Carina challenge - Villain - GmG Odeal.

I looking to prep for the next 2 weeks challenge - Abyss of Legends.

I have never done this content, so hoping to get some advice from fellows Summoners on which path to take (maybe with image of the map path) and some of the best champs to take.

How was it as your first go around never having done this content before?

I'm going to be going into the Heroes and Villains quests as well, have only ever done Necropolis before.

You can search lookup Path 1 (Easy Path) on Google and it will easily popup. That is what most of us had us our first path.

General Team buildups look like this:

A good Mystic (nullify or buff control preferred) for the Cosmic champs
A Skill champ that can apply debuffs easily for the Science champs especially Invisible Woman
A Science champ that is ideally incinerate immune or can tank energy damage against Mephisto
A Cosmic champ that can armor break or is immune to Power Drain
A hard hitter for the Collector.

You can checkout Simula's Carina's Challenge Planner for a more detailed guide. Also, since we'll be using 7s it will definitely be easier because of Challenger Rating. When Abyss was released we were using 5s against 6*s. Most of the nodes are really straightforward unlike the Ordeal where it's more nuanced. Abyss is more of an Endurance challenge.

Do you have the deathless team? If yes, they can do the easy path without a hassle. They can also do the Darkhawk path.

You need a heavy hitter, someone to manage the techs because you need to remove the armour and someone who can counter unstoppable or has nullify in their kit. That's pretty much it

This has all the hidden nodes for each champion. Most are nothing but some require some knowledge. Abyss champions have a 1% chance to evade always, it's a very small chance but you know right as you line up a fat Sp2 or something.

Take howard for example, you have to either crit him 30 times or heavy 30 times before fight even starts, a nice 2 hit heavy saves some time.

Collector is still collector, but hopefully R4s just tanky enough. He has tenacity to just shrug alot of debuffs. Kushala better to stick passives on him. Then he goes unstoppable like alot in the final 15% or so.

Looking at my rosters, I have limited options

Hero Run

Cosmic - R3 Gladiator, Unranked Phoenix (can take her to R2), R4 Hulkling

Skill - Okoya

Mystic - Kushala

Sciene - No Incinerate immune champ, Photon, Silk and Spiderwoman

Based in that who would advice for the team.

Villain Run

@Average_Desi , I do have the Deathless team,DThanos is R4 and D Jen is at R3, but DKG and Gulli is at R2 and DVision is at R1.

Would that be enough for a mid player to get it done without burn too much revives?

That is the team I had used for my trial run. Except dkg was also R1. And I got to the collector with maybe 1-5 revives used in total. With that team none of the fights were remotely hard. Granted I have the experience of having done all those fights multiple times, it still shouldn't cost you anything that you can't afford.

Thanos, Guilly ,and deJenwill be the damage dealers. . Dejen and Guilly can work for cosmics. Thanos for all the tech fights as well as Quake and Omega red. Guilly for captain Marvel.Joe Fixit is slightly hard if you haven't played him.

He can gain a power gain buff randomly and you will need to use sp3 to remove it.

So I'm set for the Villain team, just need to work out the Hero team, and I will be ready.

Sentry is incinerate immune and you should have gotten a free one. He will be very useful for this content. I gave it a test run on the thing path. That first fight ramps him up over half way and should finish with full health, then you're good to go with him, (except the fights he can't do).

I mean, that's my plan unless it turns out that SF-SL is an absolute killer for the path I do.

You don't need any of that tbh. I took in Mr. sinister, apoc, zola, onslaught, and dthanos. I soloed every single fight with Sinister except the grandmaster, who sinister can solo. It was also ridiculously fast.

In my alt I haven't done abyss or lab.

I'll be trying to fit in mutant carina with villains carina.

I'll do the path I did with apoc stryfe mags back in the day, imiw to gulk to thor and redskull and massacre cable Karnak.

Haven't looked into the abyss but I will be taking that path…couple more revives to get a run down would be nice.

Hmmmm, Maybe I can do hero carina with shehulk shangchi falcon and take out another carina the challangers.... hmmmmm will have to look into it now.

Sure. Basic Mastery setup. But with max deep wounds. And inequity.All r4s. And most S200 and at least S160. Only Captain Britian is S100. All solos except CMM.

Thing : Karolina fight. Basic karolina fight. Stay in the sun, throw sp2. Her sp2 has 6 hits. So throw it when he has 9 rock stars if you're close to it. But even otherwise It isn't a big deal. Block specials and basics to inflict vulnerability.

Omega Red: Captain Britian Fight. First go for sp3. Then keep spamming specials. Sp1,sp2 doesn't matter. But keep hitting him to stack the neuro shocks. Again go for sp3 and repeat.

Quake : Nick Fury. I killed his first form and then you throw two sp1s for the unblockable. Try to get an internal bleed . And end all attacks on light for the massive bleed

Medusa: Nico, again normal fight.

Mephisto: Spider Gwen. Throw sp2, then throw sp1s, it's really a safe fight. The incinerate damage is negligible.

CMM: try to throw and sp3 first go all Nico fights since it increases the duration of her effects. After that you need to throw sp2 for the buff immunity. Then sp1 spam. But thing is that she will purify your buff immunity and will pretty much be always instantly back at binary ignition due to the incinerates.

Ghost and IMIW: Karolina. Usual rotation. Try to keep basking in the sun without reaching 10 hits so that you can pulverize the armour buff.

Mordo: spider Gwen fight again. Really anyone can take this. Just a beefy mordo. If you have inequity and a few debuffs along with resonance, you can even tank the sp3.

Joe Dixit: Captian Britian Fight. Again same rotation something to note is that he will gain indefinite power gain buffs occasionally. And you have to throw sp3 to rmeove them

Venom the Duck: Nico. Sp3, sp2, sp1 spam. Try to weave in heavies for the damage boost.

Howard the Duck: Nick Fury. Heavy till you rmeove his indestructible charges. Then usual nick fury fight.

Hyperion: again Nico

Champion: Nico

Cyclops: Britian. Learn to fight him. His sp1 alternated between undexable and unblockable. One you have that nailed, fairy straight forward.

Loki: Nick Fury. Usual fight. He power drains you so you have to be a bit aggresive to get those special attacks.

Aegoon: Nico: He applies ability accuracy reduction on basic hits. So only specials work uness you have increased ability accuracy. But then again, same rotation . Sp3, sp2, sp1 spam

Invisible Woman: Nick Fury fight. Sp1 twice for unblockable, then try to get internal bleeding and then do light ending combos.

Cull obsidian: Nico , sp3,sp2,sp1 spam. Try to weave in heavy attacks and make him throw sp1s.

Collector: I'd suggest watching a YouTube video about him. It's basically a revive spam if you don't know how to fight him. I was able to get him to half with Nick Fury. Then the rest.

Also, again, Max Limber is a necessity. Else you can get stun locked to death if you slip up and get hit

And who would be good for the collector?

Strange can do loads of fights in there, not only the cosmics and that includes being able to solo the collector. Personally I’m pretty sure I can’t get a collector solo. He just reqrequires lots of prapractice.

I haven't done Abyss before but I've done pretty much all other everest content. From what I've been seeing and hearing from others, it is a lot more forgiving than Ordeal. Health bars are lower and defender attack ratings are also much lower. Should be a bit easier to do. Props to you for challenging yourself to do some tough content and best of luck!
