Abyss Hero Planning

I’ve not done Abyss before. Have a pretty wide valiant roster so basically have my pick of a fifth champion for this team except the following from the Titan: JJJ, Mbaku, and Blue Marvel.

Any recommendations for a good backup? I’m half-tempted to bring stellar-forged starlord but then he’s competing for ramp up with Sentry.

Additionally, any good fights to practice with Dr Strange on endgame content without having to waste time on preceding fights?

Bring Heimdall. Good way to save a couple of revives.

I’m going in with a very similar team. I’m using sentry, Dr. strange, and Medusa for most of the fights. I added Heimdall for the synergy and cyclops for the Dr. strange synergy. I’ll also use both of them for the collector if I need them since they counter evade and have good damage

Heimdall for sure. I’ll just run SL back through separately to get that objective later.

I assume that objective will be you have to beat her with ONLY SL on your team. All three fights are doable with him even with a class disadvantage vs Omega Red.

I just figured that a ramped up SL would be helpful vs the grandmaster.

Love the idea of cyclops. If you can play well enough to max the arcana fonts, I’d imagine you could stack a ton of debuffs even if she shrugs a little over half of them. I feel like white mags cross fight for passive stun would be a little more valuable than Heimdall’s cheat death, but could be persuaded either way. Heimdall could probably be useful in dealing some damage on that last fight but I don’t think there’s enough vanilla fights to ramp both sentry and heimdall. Also, would Heimdall’s true strike counter the abyss evade?

Could probably solo everything with Sentry after max ramp but I also want to try Strange and Star Lord especially for the Collector boss

Nope, I mean that indestructible at max sig is a huge safety net but if you’re at the very least decent at the game sig 20 is more than enough. He doesn’t need the sigs for damage at all so even unawakened still good, the awakened ability is nothing but a safety net.
