It's so very obvious that this isn't about you having a title in game due to loyalty, but that you want a Veteran title because you have tied so much of your identity to having served in the military (see their first post if this seems a stretch)

I'm not saying this lightly, because I've got mates who have been in similar head spaces when they've ended service: you need to work on who you are outside of a job you did. The systems in place in civvi street aren't the same as you're used to, and don't have the same values indoctrinated into you, and you really need to learn to adjust to that

Those pics at top are not OP's accounts (else they wouldn’t be asking for Vet status, as they already have the badge there).

Most likely Friends, or at least teammates, maybe either constantly joking with OP that they have something that OP does not, or that OP thinks they are better than and doesn’t like that they are constantly having to see the Vet title on lower teammates ??

And keep in mind, that the Veteran badge was given out just one time, to everyone who met the years of service as of that particular anniversary date, at that time (was it the 10th anniversary ??)

So I believe it was done as a 1-time only, for those people, at that particular time. It is not something that anybody else can earn later on as they continue to play. I don't think they probably even have any code in the software to check accounts every day or year and see if they suddenly qualify. It was “once and done”.

It's like being given a commemorative “Opening Day” pin from your sports team by attending the opening of the season. “I missed that day, I had to work, or had other life-events going on then, but since then I’ve went to ## number of games later on during the season, where is MY “Opening Day” pin, I deserve it too for supporting my team”

This isn't just about 'me' or a one-time badge. My point is about the ecosystem of the game. Players who have supported this realm for 10+ years should be recognized as a standard, not as a 'one-time event' reward. It motivates new players to stay for the long haul when they see a 10-year veteran status is achievable, not 'closed forever'.

Here on forums there was some cases that Legendary summoners became upset because they had the badge changed to Veteran.
