Abyss Heroes Team Help

Hi all, this is my first attempt at Abyss and I used Cerebro and MCOC Noob as reference for team setup.

This is my current planned team:
- Sentry (R3)
- Mr. F (R1 - purely for power sting synergy for Sentry)
- Cheelith (R4)
- Dr. Strange (R3)
- Karolina Dean (R4)

I have some queries regarding this team:
1. How important is Mr F? Is his power stings good for Abyss? Or shall I just replace him with 7* Magneto (R1) for passive stun for Collector?
2. Can I replace Karolina with Medusa (R3) for Armor shatters for IMIW? Or is Karolina fine?
3. Can I replace Dr. Strange with Nico (R4) for both Karolina synergy and her being a R4?

You only need Sentry and a good Mystic. I did it with an R3 Sentry, R3 Strange, R4 Hulkling (totally unused), R4 Captain Britain, and R1 White Mags on my main account. All the fights are soloed by Sentry except for the Cosmics and Aegon where I used Strange. For the Collector, Sentry cleared his health from 100% to 40～% in one go, then threw Strange and finally Captain Britain for the last phase (SP1 slow). So yea, you only need Sentry, Strange, and a hard hitter preferably with Slow.

On my smurf account, I did it with an R2 Sentry (got short on resources), R3 Pavitr, R4 Tigra, and R3 Captain Britain. Same story.

1.　Not necessary. 7* Magneto's passive stun is also unecessary because Sentry can passive stun with his heavy after a hit. Collector will be immune to stuns after he reached 40% anyway. The bonus damage and AA will help though.

2.　Not necessary. I brought Hulkling for that fight but Sentry just cleared IMIW without any issues.

3.　I used an unduped R3 Strange. All Mystics and Aegon soloed without any issues.

You can do this abyss challenge pretty easily with a lot of different setups. Your current plan should work pretty well, sentry and dr strange will carry you for all 20 fights.

I used a team of r4 Blue Marvel, Mr Fantastic, Dr Strange, Civil Warrior, and r3 Vision Aarkus. Among them, I was able to solo 3 fights with CW, and 2 each with Mr F and Vision. All that to say is there’s plenty of good options and you can probably use whoever you want.

Sentry doesn't need power sting. Do you have Nico? Sentry can do 90% of the fights. Nico is great for cosmics and Aegon. Nico+Karolina brought down Collector to 15%, and Nico is amazing for the last 10% of Collector with Halt from Sp1. Not sure how Strange performs against Collector.

As others have said, the path itself is pretty easy with Sentry and a good mystic. A lot of people I've spoken to on global for example were mostly stuck on the last 10% of Abyss Collector which does require more than just brute strength if you dont wanna revive dump. Nico is the best in my opinion.

I would ditch karolina for the strange synergy that increases nullify chance 40%. K isn’t needed, sentry easily takes IMIW and ghost. In fact he’s safer as they have virtually zero chance to hit sp3 due to wither.

I did personally like the white mags PF as it allowed me one parry at the start of the 10% phase which made it way easier to get some control of that turd cluster.

IMO Mr F synergy is quite good for the las % of the collector. With 3 hits you place 3 power sting and deal more or less 2% of the heal of collectro. Also W Mags synergy is very good.

Haven´t donde abyss before and I do all path with Sentry (r3) and Nico (r4) without any revives and the collector with only 3. With ramped Sentry I left collector at 25% in the firts try.

My recomended team is Sentry, Nico, Mr F, W Mags and Dr Strange (only to help in Collector).

With Nico CMM, Venom the Duck, Hyperion, Champion and Aegon and the rest with Sentry. IMW is easy with Sentry, he can´t gain power if you play weel.

It's not a must but it does speed up the process A LOT, so it all comes down to this, how patient are you? Also, you don't need White Mags if you have Strange, he can solo Collector and it's way easier than with Sentry.
Absolutely, use either Starky Star Lord Mantis or IWIM for the synergy, that extra nullify ability accuracy is huge for the Collector fight especially towards the end when the unstoppable starts going crazy.
Absolutely not, Strange is by far the best option not only is Nico slower she doesn't have nearly as much damage output and utility as Strange especially for the Collector fight.

I’d vote Strange over Nico as well. Path fights will be faster, and against the Collector the fact that you’re throwing so many specials is a huge help (plus the nullify). Because Strange’s power gain is so crazy, you don’t have to hit him with that many basics, which means fewer opportunities for him to evade or counterpunch you if he goes unstoppable. You can spam a lot of sp3s, keep the fate seal up and (kind of) play somewhat normally.

I Had same team but cap britain instead of cheelth. Imo you dont need her. Sentry can do all fights alone if want but dr strange for cosmics karolina for joe fixit and tech

I used R3 duped Sentry and R4 duped max sig Kushala to clear the easy path.

Mr. Fantastic for power sting synergy. White Mags for prefight for Collector. Last spot went to SF Starlord so I could complete the objective for ascension (used Sentry to take Quake down to 2%, quit the fight, finished her off with SF SL).
