Is the Battlegrounds VT meta actually playable?

The defender basically has no benefits from the meta

It has become a race to see who can finish faster

It's actually fun. Do you sacrifice block damage to not dash back and get more furies. Getting 5 furies is bonkers.

Yes. I also find it funny this meta is made for Kitty Pryde who benefits a lot from constantly dashing in. Great counter to Bullseye btw

Well for legitimate players, it is questionable.

Now for modders, Meta that allow fight to be finished at "unbelievable" time and high health, I assume it is their heaven.

Of course for an experienced Kabam employee designing a BG meta, how could they foreseen such a problem.

You know what would have been a good idea, have this in an Off Season testing.

But hey what do I know, better get back to grind, can't miss out on those precious and limited Essentia.

General question. Is anyone really concerned about modders in Victory Track? I get that they are an issue in Gladiator Circuit but is there any modder content to park in VT? My thought is that if there's a modder who isn't caught, they're generally not a problem in VT after the first few days because they've moved up.

In my general opinion, VT should be a relatively less stressful set of nodes compared to GC. I'm not a great Battlegrounds player by any stretch of the imagination so maybe a loss here and there in VT stresses me out less. It just seems like the cost of a loss on victory track is so minimal and the problems in Contest of Champions are so plentiful that a very slapdash (which, yeah, it really is) victory track meta is like not even breaking the top ten on concerns.

I'm not too sure where in my previous post mentioned VT.

As shown on the screenshot, this is the same meta in GC too, with one extra node, for week 1 and 2.

Now I can understand if you mean the first 2 weeks meta doesn't matter much in GC.

So let put things into context, I'm very much a mid (maybe lower mid) player, Arcane GC level really. I just play a bit when I got a bit of free time and there are solo Objective milestones to do. Like yourself, VT isn't really anything to me, just going through the process and get to GC for some Radiance, nothing really to stress about (not sure about having fun though). Actually I have been enjoying BG less and less these days, that I usually don't even play Ranked matches the last 2 weeks (and still stand around Arcane). That is just how we each one of us play.

However, the issue with Modders isn't have how much they affect us as an individual, it is how their impact various players at various stage of a PvP content.

If you read enough of the forum, you would know there are players out there that are really struggles to get onto GC, other might struggle just to get to a certain level in GC, players who extremely busy (or stress) with their real life. For these people a match up with a modder could have a much bigger impact than it is to us, even less enjoyment and even less reason to play BG, participation is already due low, sure Kabam don't want to give players even more reason not to play. That is just a VT

Again, if you read the forum, you would see that since BG becoming less and less enjoyable, a number of players just get into GC within the first 2 weeks and park (myself included). So what stop modders utilising these 2 weeks to get a higher GC position and taking away other legitimate players places.

I'm sure we can both agreed that modders are damaging the game, so a BG meta that make it hard for Kabam to spot and ban modders is not a good idea. It like a fire in your house, surely it is not a good idea to pull petrol into the flame no matter how big or small each one of us might consider it is (especially with the global fuel shortages right now 🤣🤣🤣)

if the idea is speed, just skip the draft phase, auto draft for both summoners, and we go from there. It’s all RNG garbage at this stage anyway…. At least save us actual time in the slowest part of the mode

Heck make it even more interesting, auto draft for both players but from their dex but from their whole account roster, 1 and 2* and all. At least it will "unpredictable", and an "interesting" way to balance out the account size differences 🤣🤣🤣.

I got to tell you in the MCoC kitchen I never cook (well maybe a few fights in Abyss, but that is more Sentry cooking with a million sun). Most of the time I get cooked. 🤣

But at home, I loveee cooking, British, Polish, Korean, Japanese, Italian, Vietnamese, always up for good food doesn't matter which county 😁🤤

AI is awful - speed rushes, intercepts, parries, and dex's out of regular attacks.

It's unplayable.
