It seems like every day, I'm finding yet another frustrating thing with the new essentia currency, and what it unintentionally leaves behind.
I was changing my Masteries around to run full Despair for the Sasquatch fight in the Ordeal, and created a new load out to just shuffle things around and better invest my mastery points.
One of the things I wanted to do was go up to 3/5 Mystic Dispersion, which I hadn't been running previously. Before Essentia was a thing, the way to get Mastery Cores was with Loyalty (an easy resource for it) or with Units (and absolute waste of units, when you have an overabundance of Loyalty).
Now, with the Essentia store, there is no *new* place to buy Mastery cores, so the only two options are the preexisting ones - Loyalty, which we don't have anymore, and Units.
If I was to go from lvl 1 Mystic Dispersion to lvl 3, it would take me 30 cores. That would take my 240,000 loyalty, which is just a drop in the bucket, back when we had loyalty, or 900 Units, which is an absolutely insane cost when I could get it from another currency.
So now I'm stuck either not investing in it, or throwing away my precious units. What was Kabam's "plan" for this? (I think we know the answer to that)
