Account banned / suspended

Good evening 😃

So I’m posting seeing if I can get help with my account.

Monday game was running fine then later went to log in and said I was banned for account sharing.

Now I travel a lot for work and even use a different device for overseas/out of country.

I have the game installed on multiple devices. iPads,iPhone,desktop and Android phone with kids in the home.

I put in a ticket asking why or if they could give me an explanation. I just get generic responses.

I’m an avid spender maxing out ingame and webstore on event spending over $400 every event and even monthly subscription.

I asked if something was wrong can it be moved to suspended for a duration as I’ve never been given a warning or anything to this point.

FYI, no one here is going to believe you. And the cheaters always blame a relative fyi, so that's really not going to fly since you're basically saying the same story with a new skin. If you want, I can link you with some of the more entertaining "I was wrongly banned" posts that weren't wrongly banned.

And only two have every been falsely banned outside of a major ban wave that was incorrect. The only thing that might help people believe you is that your forum post wasn't created recently. But, most likely, you cheated, and will not have anyone help you here. But please continue

it’s fine if you don’t believe but I just wanted a explanation to why is all. I don’t play battle grounds at all an was in a P2 alliance so not hyper competitive. Just daily going thru the motions of the game.

Just wanted to know why insta banned with no explanation and not a warning is all.

If you were banned without any prior warning (people have lied about this) then this generally involves cheating or some kind in some form of higher tier content. The official reason being given on your game client login screen might be "account sharing" but it is likely this was account sharing within the context of some other larger issue, since I have never heard of a one-strike perm ban just for account sharing.

If you allowed someone else to log into your game account for any reason, you're responsible for any actions they take on your account. If they use mods, if they cheat in any way, that's entirely on you. If the game detects multiple violations, they can only officially hit you with one of them. And generally, beyond the message given in the game client support will not explain in greater detail why you were banned. This is because a lot of players think they can game the system by asking what specific thing they did wrong so they can avoid that one specific thing but still break the rules in other respects. Support is instructed not to give out those kinds of details that could improve the ability for cheaters, mercs, and bot farms to evade detection.

Kabam is not obligated to provide warnings. They used to have a three strikes rule, but not anymore. Some stuff will draw temp bans, some stuff will get you immediately permanently banned. And they have never provided specifics on what specific thing was detected. They have, in some humorous cases, provided details when the cheating was so over the top that mentioning what was detected would offer no one any substantial assistance in evading cheat detection. Like if you complete Necropolis in fifteen minutes using Dazzler, say. I don't think we need to tell most people not to do that.

Since it is moderately unusual to get insta perma banned for account sharing, I will pass along your post to someone at Kabam. However, they are under no obligation to respond, and it is a long weekend in Canada, so take that for whatever it is worth.

I’m sure you won’t have an issue. I think mine is because it logs into multiple devices because of data charges. Only WhatsApp works for me when I’m in Europe

Logging into multiple devices shouldn't trigger a ban. Traveling to different places also shouldn't. I've actively tried to trigger a problem in the past, working with Kabam to see if different things would cause a problem, and I've never been able to trigger a fair play warning with any combination of travel, VPN usage, and multiple devices. I've even played on aircraft WiFi that relays to ground stations where my location rapidly jumps from point to point to point and this does nothing at all. Unless something has changed, it generally takes more than that to trigger a problem.

The possible reason given info provided by OP is someone turned on a home phone/pc version while he was traveling and started game at same time he was logged on somewhere else or within a time period where travel was impossible. Ie America to Europe in 30 minutes. Not sure this helps but a possibility

That’s what I’m referring too because at times I have to manually log into the game. Same as time to time I have to do it for the webstore

In theory,

If @Ciftci_35 installed the game in multiple devices (mobile and tablet), if he take his phone to work (in another country), while his tablet is at home.

Log into his mobile and play MCoC in another country, then his child accidentally open MCoC (even just as an accident tab and not played the game). Would that not be enough to trigger the "sharing account"?

About your "Im a heavy spender" ,it dont help you in anyway or keep you safe from a ban.

To address a couple of the common topics

flying - Can provide flight information to show 😉

Kids - They have seen me play for years and even like to play arena with characters they think are cool because they can’t hurt anything. They rank a lot of 4*s

No Mercs - I’m a mid tier alliance and no where near a competitive account as I don’t do PVP that much.

Spending- I’m just saying I probably spend more than most people not in a hyper competitive alliance and modes. Not saying I’m better than anyone I’m blessed to have disposable income to spend on MCOC.

I’m disputing the account sharing as I understand if multiple devices logging trigger especially when traveling. I’m simply asking if this is ban worthy and not a suspension period case. As I’ve never received a warning of any sort.

I just want to say thank you to everyone responding both positive and negative. Thank you for taking the time 😊.

Which is why I’m not disputing the loose word “sharing” all my gaming accounts and even streaming apps are the same username and password. As it’s easier for my kids to log into from their devices and games.

Sounds like child knowingly plays on home devices (which, yes, is also technically account sharing).

But more specifically, if they get on your game while you are out of country, then it is easy to see that “different” people are playing. Which even though your children are not mercs (*), is still account sharing.

How does Kabam know that it is all still in the family when one minute you are logging in from home and the next from another country (or even region of same country). That you aren’t just paying mercs from somewhere else.

*but also, how savvy or old are your children, could they even do worse and actually have someone else even play some, or download hack apps/tools (even more likely) that would also be against rules (although the ban would not have said “sharing” then).

It's one thing to let kids play while you are there WITH them. But to play from different parts of world or country around same portions of days, etc, that is part of what helps to detect Merc hiring (or global social friend group all playing same account, etc) etc.

@SummonerNR 100% valid I’m 38 and they are 11 & 12 my youngest boys. They are avid gamers and way more advanced than me. 12yr is also taking computer programming so not telling what he has on his gaming PC and other devices. (device kids 🥲). So if something popped up 3rd party software I wouldn’t be surprised.

I don’t blitz content. I just wait for our content creators to post and I just copy their teams lol
