Who else was hoping for 6* Locked Champs for HoF?

Just seems like a huge letdown that one of the most exciting events for champion acquisition (Tigra, Nick etc) is now just falling under the umbrella of Monetizing Ascension.

Ascension has already enabled many to quit the game in how it was champion gacha based, wouldnt using this event to bring back champs like AA, mephisto, CGR, Etc have spiced things up? Now it just feels like we're being forced to spend hard earned units just to give a slight boost to champs that normally wouldnt make our decks of 30.

I won’t lie, was really hoping for CGR as kind of a tie-in with reworked GR releasing the same time.

Knull and Dust A2 are the only ones that peak my interest. Might just pity pull GR and if I land him early, use extra units on the event. Think someone told me it’s like 45k to max the event..

I have OG Ironman at R5. Would be cool to have him ascended. Have plenty of units….

but I pouring them all into this event just for that and a few other champs that will be forgotten soon? Yes, it’s a big letdown. I figure most people won’t spend units on this event and will just hold for J4 or banquet.

nothing in there is worth half that combined.

DP last year felt like it was worth 36-38k units but that included all the other popular champs too

Idk man, I think people were just assuming too much. Theres only so many 6 star locked champions that dont require buffs that would be both exciting enough to make people want to spend but also not broken enough that it would be a bad idea, and it was incredibly obvious this was going to be ascension based.

Thisevent also seems way more ftp friendly than hearts of fire was

you could get DP FTP or very low spend (unit pass) if you were an arena warrior (and I did)

Yea, there was no “podium” champ to incentivize maxing the event. I feel like they tried to account for that by throwing in potential 4-5 RUGs into the crystal percentage pool, but it still falls short in my eyes.

Sure, but last year you actually had to spend money to even guarantee one of the 7 star champions whereas this year there are clear ftp paths to getting multiple of them without any unit investment

no, it was units, not $$. You needed luck to get all 5 awakened but you most definitely could get a few and DP without $$

I expected the event to be **** for the most part honestly, and I did say on multiple threads that it would most likely be ascension focused but I just got disagree spammed and ignored lol.

Unfortunately I was right, oh well, silver lining is I will be taking Bong and Knull to r5 (Knull being the only one worth r5 in there realistically

There's fewer and fewer 6* locked Champs with each new batch. I think right now the remaining 7 star debuts will be reserved for Banquet or reworks

I was also expecting a Mephisto buff to go alongside Ghost Rider. He doesn’t need that many changes to his kit
