We should know our collective score (and the scoring) ahead of launch

It would be nice if we knew our Collectives score (and the full scoring system and level markers) ahead of time so players can choose if they want to go after the next level they may be close to already. This system is going to influence rank ups, and people might make different choices the next few days if they know. Just a thought (hope/wish/delusion lol)

The system really shouldn't influence anything. Rank up who you want, make progress regardless.

Nearly a dozen years of playing this game informs me that there is unlikely to be any chance we get a heads up on our score before collectives begin.

Better to hope for the team to triple check our scores to make sure they don’t get calculated wrong (and then take a couple of months to correct) once the event goes live.

What I’m waiting on is the inevitable outrage when collectives launch, people finally pay attention to the scoring metrics and then they realize their two/three/four star collection has no impact whatsoever. People are just thinking, “well my rating is 10M or whatever, I’m gonna get hooked up.”

Should be a fun couple days on the forums next week.

I understand the person who posted this. More information would have been helpful, but I think we know one thing for certain 7* is what will generate the most points (oh captain, my captain), but remember just enjoy collecting champions, ranking up who you want based on your specific in game needs. I'm a Valiant player with a close to 7M rating and 131 7* champions so I'm curious in my own way where will I be on launch. I know they mentioned roughly half of valiant players being Rank 10 or higher. So I'm just curious to see where I will be and then gauge how players who are Paragon and below will be.

Also will be interested to see how the interactions work with the collective bonuses per class.

As with anything new coming in be prepared for things to not go as anyone plans it. On top of that right temper your expectations. Don't over hype nor just say it will be total garbage. Let us be reasonable, let us give honest feedback once it is out that is not emotionally charged, but expresses with clarity our thoughts. Let us also try not bashing over one other over opinions. Remember opinions are your thoughts and not necessarily facts. It may include fact, but also it will contain interpretations that may or may not be accurate.

Considering your rank ups now affect ALL of your champs, it really could matter before launch. Example: Knowing you’re at level 14 today and seeing the bonuses that kick in at level 15 could mean you spend your resources differently the next couple days before launch. Taking 2 ascended champs to r4 vs non-ascended would be about an 600pt difference based on the example we saw on the livestream (if I remember correctly). Maybe that number ends up mattering, maybe not. Also affects the number of crystals you’ll receive at launch. Not everyone will care, but others will.

I believe kabam is not revealing information so they can launch the system and then claim scoring, interesting irregularities, and head scratching interactions are as intended and there will be no compensation.
