BOYCOTT KABAM!! over Battlegrounds

I'm calling for people to boycott this game until Kabam creates another way to get the Blade piece other than playing this awful battlegrounds season or spending units.
I'm a high level player with two Rank 5 champs on my roster, so I'm not coming from an account that can't compete.
This battlegrounds season is full of cheater accounts, people running suicide masteries and horrible matches with impossible to beat accounts (4-5 R5 champs and the rest R4 Sig 200 with every rare champ available. I've even gone up against a R5 Dr. Bong already).
We all knew this was coming when Kabam announced R5 in the game and they did nothing to protect the non-whale accounts from getting squashed by the cheaters and whales.
But we all know that Kabam doesn't do anything good for their community that they take for granted unless a boycott is threatened. So whoever knows how to message the YouTube guys (Seatin, RichTheMan, Lagacy, Vega etc). Please show them this message and hopefully the threat of Kabam losing money will get them to listen to the entire non-whale community that hates that they put the last piece of Blade in this terrible game mode that no one wants to play.

I think you've just exposed your skill issue. Just because you as a "high level player" are losing a majority of your matches even with suicides, doesn't mean everybody else is.

And yes it's annoying going up against cheaters. But they aren't THAT prevalent. And if you're really a "high level player" you're not gonna end up going against many accounts that are much larger than yours anyways. And when you do, they're usually bad at the game, so you can outskill them.

So does a bag of chips, and getting the Recoil masteries up and running are much closer to that in cost than to a Ferrari.

Like I said, I have a fully f2p account without the Recoil masteries unlocked. I have to put down the same number of units to unlock it as you would have. I have the units saved up for it. I didn't save them up specifically to unlock them, but I might use them to do so if I feel like pushing my way through the VT on a second account.

There's no magic to having a stash of units to spend on stuff, other than not wasting them elsewhere. You don't need to spend on the game to unlock those masteries.

No one said that getting to GC is a herculean feat. But it's a very annoying and time consuming process that most people don't want to do. Evidenced by significant drop in battlegrounds participation from last season. Accept Kabam put an important piece of the game attached to a game mode that people don't want to do in the first place and now it's made it even more unbearable. Hence why people are complaining

Bro, It's not a skill issue. Whales like you love to try to pin peoples frustrations with BG on skill issues to make yourself feel better as to why you're winning and others are losing. But the truth is you're winning because you're able to put three R5 defenders in and the other person can't and it takes longer to kill a R5 than a R4 or R3. You're not more skilled, you just purchased bigger defenders!!

Again, The Recoil masteries is the least of the 3 issues here. Even if people turn on the suicides they'll still probably lose majority of their matches because they're facing much larger accounts and accounts that are cheating.

If I was a whale my account would look very different. Pretty pathetic to just assume something of someone else just to put yourself in a position of imaginary power. My feedback on the meta has been consistent across the board and I ultimately am not a fan of it, even going so far as to agree with the feedback that the piece will be unreachable for a handful of smaller accounts. So you are arguing with someone that is in agreement with a good deal of your complaint. But what you said is still ridiculous and incorrect. You have the same access to the piece as anyone else, it just might be more difficult to get.

I said it on many other posts. People use the bad BG meta to complain about everything else that is wrong with the game and believe it fits.

Bad metas, subpar rewards, lack of incentive are the issues. Not matchmaking, whales, saga chase pieces...

From Kabam's stand point if they have as many whales as OP claims, why would they change anything at all? Rofl if there was so many whales whatever they are doing is working in their favor...

Unless people are cheating and getting big accounts without spending. If this was true and Kabam can't stop them. Then either acknowledge this and shut down BG or at the very least don't make an important piece of the game attached to a game mode that people hate because of your lack of ability to control it.

Newsflash, if there was so many whales as you claim. Most people wouldn't be playing for the Blade Piece, why on earth would they spend so much time when they can just swipe 75 bucks. That's less than a full gas tank nowadays....

Equally as frustrating is people making it a full-time job to invalidate any issue people have with how overtuned and unenjoyable some part of the game is.

If you're among those who have no issue with it, wonderful. That doesn't mean others don't have a problem. There's no question that some people complain without trying, but I highly doubt this is one of those cases. Everytime I sit down to play, it's just miserable. In the VT. I'm certainly not at the top, but I'm not new either. If I'm having that kind of experience, there's probably truth to the other complaints.

I think the people that spend are great and they should continue to spend and get rank up materials and crystal shards and have fun.

But that fun should not come at the expense of others who don't want to spend as much.

If Kabam wants to keep Battlegrounds around for the spenders to have something to do with their expensive toys, all the power to them. But just don't put pieces of characters, that people have already grinded for the other pieces, behind that pay wall. It's disrespectful of the community that puts their time and effort into building this game whether they are spending big or not.

For me, the main issue is making it a total time trial by removing Health Remaining. There's a growing issue with Champs being so strong because of a) OP Champs, b) people hanging out and not pushing, and c) the introduction of more R5s. Even when using a majority of R4s, it's miserable.

The model they went with this Season just exacerbates the issues people are facing with BGs.
