I could've sworn for Elders that trade in gives you a full 4-5 but Valiants were able to trade in for something like 1.5 T5 Alpha but I'm only seeing 12,600 T5A shards? And that's the 'reward' 'available' for Thronebreaker? So as a Valiant I'm getting the same amount of T5A shards when a throne breaker and valiant account are so wildly different?
That's correct. That trade-in will be there until June - there are multiple Free to Play avenues to get to Elder currently before it runs out, and even more with Apex Coliseum concluding next week.
Why should Valiants have cheaper or easier access to R5 gems compared to Elders?
The trade was 6,300 T5a when it first launched. I know this for a fact because for some reason the R5 gem was delayed, so I traded for the T5a and then had to submit a ticket to support to reverse it so I could get the gem. Then at some point they increased it to 12,600. It was never 1.5.
is the actual event going to cost $1500 to do everything?
Anyone worked out the math with all of the extra goodies you get in between? I am at 348 points- spent 28,500 units started with 4700 of my own that’s almost $700 bucks. I would need to double that to unlock the event.
because theyre the ones who need it most to get closer to getting elder. Like i said, elders get to trade in 1, the only way for valiant to get it is to pay an absolute fortune to get theirs.

12600 still seems crazy low for valiant considering that thronebreaker gets the same amount (and what are they gonna do with it, for now?!)
40-48k units to fully get everything. Nothing against you spending your own hard earned money but Ngl people like you are the reason they’re constantly doing pay to get events, just lining their pockets
Serious question. If I don’t spend; and you don’t spend. Who pays for anything? If nobody spent anything at all, the game literally wouldn’t exist. Servers, developers, updates, champs, events all of that gets funded somehow.
There’s a difference between enjoying the game and bankrupting yourself.
Don’t want to insult you, but it sounds like you are parroting talking about lining pockets while they had 4% increase in revenue from last year.
they also had some pretty significant misses in revenue over the years. Free to play or low spending is also great for the eco system of the game with recurrent players, but I think with no spending we get flappy bird. Have you seen the detail they put into creating a champ?
Lol. I am elder too, took 4500 units of revives to get there . I am liking the fact there are many places where you get elder specific rewards already. You can't have a separate game space just because of you are elder.
This event also gives away a ton of free stuff. At the end of the day it’s a mobile game. how many ways can they realistically monetize?
They tried champ-focused monetization before and the community hated it (Dark Phoenix). They tried making units more meaningful instead of just revive dumping and people hated that too.
At the same time, this is a 10+ year old Marvel live service game with licensing costs, app store cuts, servers, dev teams, and constant monthly content. Free players are part of the community, but the game also doesn’t stay alive this long without spenders supporting it.
And calling spenders ‘degenerates’ goes both ways honestly. A free-to-play player can easily say: ‘I’m not spending 6–8 hours grinding arena on a mobile game because I value my time and have better things to do.
Not trying to pick a fight, out of curiosity what would you actually buy? Skins? Emotes, Shiny champs?( I wouldn’t spend on it)
The last reward in the realm event is for paragon+.
Paragon gets the same reward as elder.

like i said, got nothing against you spending your hard earned money but when its for such a bad event like this one it just eggs them on to keep making terrible events. Ive spent some money on certain events when they were amazing but lately theyve just gone downhill.

I genuinely have no idea how they came to the conclusion that those 5 need to be unascended. As they were ascended a very long time ago and I gave them the list of champions i ascended after we got the dust from 9.4 lol
@ahmynuts thats great for you. I guess it really depends on who handles your ticket because they responded to me saying they couldn’t identify any ascensions. The funny thing is they have the wrong account and cited some unknown account name which is not mine or associated at all with me. I replied 8 hours ago telling them that is not my account name and I gave them the correct name which is weird cause it should pop up under my email I submitted the ticket under. It’s hit or miss with that support team. I literally gave them my game name which is the same as the one I use in this forum. I have yet to hear back from support all day.
This is somewhat ego-based, honestly. There are perks for Elder. There's just not an entirely separate Event. I understand wanting something suited to where people are at, but the argument for a separate table to sit at on the basis of status is weak.
As for the question about access to lower Rewards, people also have the option. Not everyone swears off anything but the highest. People can choose to work on different parts of their Roster.

Like these ascensions were literally from a long time ago. A few were for the ccp challenges when they dropped and the rest were just random since 6* asc
My biggest issue with the event is that so many milestones cap out at Paragon. I don't understand why kabam keeps putting selectors for progression levels under conqueror.
The fact that this realm event is also super F2P friendly makes me think that Kabam purposely made the milestones trash for Valiants and above.

My biggest concern about this event if the terrible drop rates of the Elder Crystal. I get that there are milestones but pulling a sea of 6 star champs as an Elder player isn’t fun.
