The state of the game

I quit the game about a year ago and at that time I had done pretty much all the content there was including 100% completing every act. I was wondering if I should get back into the game. Did they fix the ai issues? Do they actually balance their characters when they’re overpowered or underpowered? Do they listen to the community? Do they treat their late game players better instead of just giving a few catalysts shards for what could be hours of work and grinding? Did verses get a rework? Will it be overwhelming to get back into it? I remember having to read an essay for each new character or node.
Ultimately what changes has Kabam made in the last year?

Returning to the game after ragequitting is like dating an ex. After the passage of time all you remember is the good stuff, you get back together and its fun for a while then you realise why you left in the first place.

Me, I never left because I'm scared of being alone and what if another game doesn't want me so I put up with the abuse in hope that one day, the game will love me again.

It's a game mate, play or don't play. It's not that deep.
