How do you win when you don’t win?

I’ve been saying this since this game mode began. If you don’t KO your opponent and the other person does, you should have lost that round in bgs. Period. End of story. I just lost a round where my defender still had over 30% of their health and I KO’D my opponent and this happened on a round three of a BG fight. Like dude I don’t care

if you had 100% health my defender was alive with a third of theirs intact. How is this a win?

@NoahSansman yeah I KO’D my opponent. If the objective of a fight is not to win and just have perfect health then where is the competitive edge? This IS a competitive mode.

The objective is to outplay your opponent. The points inform how that is done and remaining health is a part of it. A K.O. is still the most valuable part, hence why it is worth the most points, but survivability is part of the skill set that goes into winning.

I wouldn't be against a change that only rewarded health remaining if you K.O. the opponent, but that probably won't do much of anything to change the overall scope of match results.

@Average_Desi what I’m saying is your health shouldn’t be able to overtake the fact that your opponent actually won their fight when you didn’t and still needed 30%+ to even get there. Thats a SUBSTANTIAL amount of defender health. We are trying to win fights right? Not finish with the most health. So yeah some points but he wasn’t even CLOSE to winning his fight. There’s no way that should be a win. I’m not for the “health doesn’t count at all” ****, but that’s not cool at all

You are not trying to win fights, you are trying to play better than your opponent. Winning fights is a side effect of that objective, but it is not the objective itself. Deal more damage, keep more health, and do it faster.
