How is everyone meant to feel when they see people instantly gain months of progress because of a glitch that let a lot of people get the summer sales for a fraction of the price, honestly I’m jus mad I missed it as I’m not wasting 20k units, especially if others got it so cheap, but it does make u not wanna play a lil cause no matter what you do your not gonna get rewards even close in value to that anytime soon

this. Something needs to happen or this. The amount of incompetence has only gotten worse as time goes by. Accountability. I bet if everyone who spent their money went for refunds whether their account gets banned or not it would change and more than likely kill the game. At the current pace of incompetence on launches and sales and 10 million bugs that keep accumulating I don’t see this game lasting much longer. Especially with a response regarding a RMT being told deal with it.

Seeing as this reads as, "there isn't anythig we can do and not something we feel we need to address…" As someone that spends on every event especially when there are exclusive champs, I will do something I have control over. NOT spend again after 11 years being a whale.

Why spend $1000 when the company that demands that doesn't view my dollars as any real value? Not to mention, I am expected to do $600 every 2 months? Wallets closed is all I can do at this point.

Where is my money going to, if not coding a game without this level of bugs, issues and this type of response. I can't tell other players to do the same, but this is getting to levels of absudity with how often issues are happening.

It wasn't meant as downplaying your point, and I'm not looking for a shortcut to get to Elder. I'm just bringing back to the forefront the value we're talking about here. Aside from the exclusive champions, there are very meaningful resources here.

And just like it's frustrating for Elders to see other players pick up these exclusive and valuable champs/resources for peanuts, it's also frustrating for us, chipping away at prerequisites to reach Elder by the book, to see so much value be given away for nothing to players who landed on or heard about the exploit in time.

That said, as much as I'd want Kabam to just open up the deals to everyone to have a level playing field on this event, I think the fairest thing, out of respect for Elders who put in the time, money and resources to do things by the book, and out of respect for Valiants/Paragons who are doing that right now, would be to undo what was done in those "few accounts" that benefitted from the exploit and call it a day. Anything else is either a slap in the face of Elders or a slap in the face of players working their way up.

I chased elder title the very first month. And now I wish I was a paragon player. Getting human torch, nick fury, future antman, bastion, venom and archangel (many more) and 5+ rank 5 7 stars within a day is like a lottery. I am elder for some time and I only got a 5th from this sale after spending 13k units. And I don't have the luxury to get all the rare champs even after grinding arenas 24*7.

Now kabam is saying it doesn't matter. Well I disagree, I won't even have all the things they got from a single sale even if I grind this game 24*7 for one year.

Anyway Thanks for whomever reading this and to kabam for this game which I loved so much if am walking away bcoz of the issue.

My take - kabam should refund all players the full unit cost and make the 1k unit deals available to everyone. To make up for this they can do another sale next month and introduce another ascension and 7* and do it properly with no bugs. This way playerbase is satisfied and kabam still gets their dough. Kabam's a for profit company and I understand the need for sale but this event is going to impact their profitability in the future if they ignore it

Most people I have seen are not asking for perfect compensation. I think my view point of kabam giving everyone AA and Spider-Ham is very realistic. I like how you always think your viewpoint is the correct one, which says a lot about you as a person.

I like that idea, refund spent units, release a new highly wanted 7*, and try again. Clawbacks would be way to difficult (for those of you screaming for one I don’t think you understand just how much those of us who got the bug truly managed to get away with) and I’m not sure if there’s a comp package big enough

I’m not sure that does anything for those who spent 20k units to get Ham and AA. If anything that makes our situation worse. Everyone gets both champs, some spent very little, some spent nothing and some paid full whack. At the moment I’m annoyed. I’d be seriously upset if that was the outcome.

The fairest proposal to resolve this issue is to make all the rewards that were mistakenly distributed at a low cost elder ble to all veteran players in the same quantity and unit; this would at least ensure in-game balance.

I think going forward on big sales, the majority of us should wait a few days till we know there aren't bugs or nerfs. Unless you get to buy everything for 95% off ;)

This way kabam won't have the money yet and will more than likely provide a more player friendly fix as opposed to -Whoopsie is what it is you peasants.

I held off on spending right away to fight the impulse to max out Odins. Now, I can happily not spend on this event. I did drop 20k units i had saved that now doesnt feel as good of a choice as it did. Maybe because 1k is a better deal than 20k.

It would still have to go further than that though - because some of us spent all of our available units. If they just add those rewards offers back in at the low cost, but those of us that already spent on the regular cost and exhausted units, wouldn't be able to do anything with those offers.

yeah what he said + unit return for anything over what it took to get the top milestone after the cheap unit deals. Only problem then is you’ve got people with +19-20k units and whatever was in those deals (the r5 gem x2 etc for free essentially). I think everybody would just have to be ok with that part at that point since those that were going to whale were going to whale in the first place and they still got the extra rewards

I don’t know if it’s been brought up already and I’m not going to comb through the nearly 300 posts in this thread, but how did the people who took advantage of this bug and spent only 1000 units to scoop up all the deals reach the 20,000 unit spend plateau to reach AA?? Seems crappy they get to take advantage of the deals, but good for them for doing it. They can keep the items in the deals, but no way they should get the top milestone rewards for the event if they didn’t reach the 20,000 unit spent level. Why wouldn’t this just be clawed back?? Doesn’t seem too difficult if it only affected a small number of accounts (unless that’s just BS).

From what I understand, the unit cost for the offer was glitched, but it was counting towards ful l value for the milestone.

so if you bought a 1k, a 2k, a 4k, and x2 6k offers (all for under 1k units, remember), that was equivalent to like 19k on the milestone tracker.

It’s pure BS, and given the sheer amount that people like me got from the glitch and what I did with it in 24 hours before I came to forums would make a clawback borderline impossible. I have 4 new R3s and completed a lot of content with several new top tier champs I got through the glitch. And that’s just me. It’d be way to complicated and would cripple all of their resources trying (and probably failing) to fix it.

Correct, which is another reason why player punishment oriented solutions aren’t a viable way foreward imo. Otherwise a lot of those players who exploited the bugs would be out 30 thousand units, and why should we be punished for playing their broken game?

I agree with you however they have set a precedent by doing just that before when people have exploited an obvious bug. And I’m in no way suggesting or recommending people should have to pay the difference (though that would be a totally Kabam idea for the solution). They just shouldn’t get the full event milestone rewards (ie - AA) for only spending 1000 units. They should get the milestone rewards at their level of units spent, 1000.
