Community discussion about the sales bug and its fixes (+ my take)
Personally, I was affected and I fully abused the bug. And this helps open up to why I think call backs and bans are either unwarranted or extremely problematic.
- Kabam makes massive glitchs, time and time and time over again. So I feel pretty confident saying we as a community over the years have adapted to exploiting these bugs ( they won’t ban you, they won’t address it, and if you’re lucky you’ll be apart of their **** up compensation). So why should we (those who were both lucky and exploitive) pay for it?
- It’s already too late. I opened 200+ empowered crystal and reset my grace I think twice, I managed to A2 2 different champs. From the event I got top tier champs and *immediately* ranked them up to the fullest of my capabilities (R3) and am still in catalyst overfull (including being able to R4 three champs with the R4 gems). I’ve already pushed and beat all of 9.3 in one day using said champs. I think you get the point. In the name of fairness, I wouldn’t have a problem with a call back, but I’ve already altered and evolved my account so much doing so would either break my game, or need 3 weeks of constant shut down just to fix everything. Now imagine this problem spread across dozens (if not hundreds, because I feel like this is a way bigger issue than what they’re pretending it is) of accounts. You’ll have people walking out left and right and it’d hurt the company just as much as if you didn’t do anything to start with.
Now on to my own solutions
- for those that didn’t get the bug, full Unit recompense. 100%. You spent 20k? You get them all back.
- Deals get their offer prices shredded, like taken alllll the way down. 6k for the last one? 600 now.
- A massive compensation for all of those who didn’t get the bug, something extreme like 10 greater empowered nexus crystals + 10 titan nexuses and a **** load of materials (suppose as much as the most extreme incident of the glitch, a whole R5 for example scaling with progression titles).
- Time taken to reset all of those who had their offer deals reset, plus the aforementioned compensation in units.
- A different/reattempt at a sale for everyone. No bugs, no glitches. A new 7* release (CGR, Kate, etc etc) and even better milestones.
As for those of us who did get the glitch? No comp, we already gorged.
KABAM restores player trust, we get more opportunities for incredible resources, and the company keeps the lights on.
