No push notification on Android

Hello folks, i'm wondering if i'm the only one with this problem. Since the last update (17.0.1), MCoC app doesn't seem to trigger notifications on my phone (free and daily crystal, etc). Am i missing something here? Did something on my phone blocked it ? I'm running the game on Samsung Galaxy S8 (Oreo 7.0)

I have the same issue (on Samsung Galaxy S7), but that doesn't seem to bother any dev, apparently.
What's weird is that there's not more people complaining about it on the forums...

OK, I found the solution all by myself!
Apparently, I was logged off Google Play. As soon as I logged back in, I got the notifications back.
Thanks to the "customer support" (NOT!).

After perusing the forums trying to look for solutions for my Galaxy issues with this game. It seems many of the myriad issues here tend to fall on Samsung phones. It's pretty bloody odd that Samsung android phones are not super prioritized

Why is that the fault of Customer Support? They deal with the game, not your phone settings in different apps.

Or not, after all. I got notifications while playing the game, but I seem not to get them when the game is closed.

Because we haven't heard from them in any of the discussions where that issue has been talked about. I used "Customer support" between quotes because it's a general term I was using for devs or mods who might forward that to devs, or whoever from Kabam in general.
Hey, I'm a customer (yes, I've paid a lot of money in this game), and I'm not supposed to know which department takes care of what, as long as my product is working correctly and/or as long as our concerns are heard. ;-)

Forums aren't for support. People post on here all the time about needing help from support. They don't get help because that's not what the forums are for. Every time a Mod answers back, it's usually with a link to game support. Mods will report game bugs to support but they aren't the "middle man" in most cases. It's not fair to pin that kind of stuff on them when it's not their job.

My mistake, then. I understand what you're saying, but I hoped that "Bugs and known issues" would at least be watched. If not, I don't see the point of giving the opportunity to create topics here.
Better not and let people write what they want in "General discussions" or "My best recipes for shepherd's pies", I guess.

I know Google Play has limitations on how many push notifications a game is able to generate in a 24hr period before the app is flagged as a spammer. I have been seeing new/different notifications than the ones I used to get.

They seemed to have switched from the more common "Energy is full" and "Daily crystal is available" notifications in lieu of "Beat ____ now in the ____ event" and "Collect a 4* ____ from crystals today". I think they are substituting the more useful ones for the more advertisement-based ones. The ones we used to get regularly still seem to show up from time to time, but I think it's based on another timer (i.e. if you haven't received a spam notification in X hours).
