Will new arena lower cutoffs for 4* arena?

I think it will, but honestly it is hard to predict what the impact will be. It naturally seems that the introduction of an arena with 6* shards for top grinders will draw away some attention from 4* featured arena. I would expect lower cutoffs for feature 4* arena as a result, that could cause some to jump from basic arena to feature arena. But this is all speculation.

And there’s better rank rewards in the new arena. I bet cutoffs for new 4* will still be over 12mil

Doubt it. The milestones are hot garbage, and the rank rewards outside of the top 150 are just as bad. No one who is NOT chasing the top 150 will leave the 4 star arenas for that.

30% of the people playing this arena won’t grind 20mil. Maybe 6-8mil cutoff. It’s the same arena as the 4* featured as far as how quickly you get points since most people don’t have more than 1 6*

I said the wrong. But 10% still won’t be 20 mil unless people don’t get in the pool. Maybe 10-12 mil for those shards

I was thinking that the last rank reward (60%) for the new arena (the 5 star shards) is the same as the best rank reward for the 4 star arena (1%). I am guessing you just have to do 1 million points for that. So... yeah... probably no need to do the 4 star arena then.

Well....

For 1 Million points in the 5* arena you get:
- 15 units,
- 1 phc and
- 3500 duel chips
- 200 5* shards

In 4* featured 1 mio gets you
- 45 units,
- 3 phc
- 6250 duel chips
- 200 4* shards

it depends on what you value more...

Oh, and by the way: I will compare 450k in the 4* basic as well, since it is roughly the same amount of fights...
- 60 units
- 3 phc
- 6000 duel chips
- 125 4* shards

So yeah, personally, I think I won't be touching the 5* arena...

Well, 6 stars get like 60k points. And I also have 30 5 stars that get a decent amount of points each. During 3 days, those 1 million points can be done really fast. 1 million points in the 4* arena will not grant me 200 shards.

I am pretty sure the reason for the crappy milestone rewards is to make all the arenas pretty much the same. If one arena had 4 or 5 star shards as milestones, most people would do that one.

So, it does have horrible milestone rewards, but the rank rewards are worth it.

don't get me wrong, 1 Million points in the featured arena is really not the issue here... The issue is what you are missing in order to get 200 5* shards.... That's 1.600 shards per month, and compared to all the other shards we get per month (10k from monthly event quest alone) this is really not that much.

I will wait and see, how many points will be required for higher ranks... Because 500 shards in each arena, or even 2k, this is a whole new story of course...

If you can *only* do one million points, this might be a debatable choice. But if you can do more than one million, the 5* becomes increasingly attractive because once you do those one million points in the 4* featured, you then have to decide whether to put more effort into the 4* featured or put that effort into the 5* featured (or 4* basic).

If I could only do one million, its a bit of a toss up although I think the 5* shards are more valuable regardless. If I could only do two million, I would almost certainly do one million in 5* featured and one million in 4* featured. If I could do only 1.5 million, I would consider doing the minimum for the first rank reward for 4* basic, 4* featured, and 5* featured.

Because there is a larger reward per effort for reaching rank rewards in every arena than there are incrementally for doing more effort in the same arena, which one makes sense depends on how much grinding you do.
