How Good is Iceman?

With Iceman coming in a little over a week to most players via the login calendar, I'd like to know how good Iceman is, especially unawakened vs awakened.

He's real great. Top tier in mutants. Utility god with being immune to almost everything. His passive is an added bonus once awakened but not a must to have. And above all his animations are on point making him super fun to play with.

So would he be worth spending the last remnants of my 5k mutant ISO and the catalysts on? And possibly a 3* awakening gem?

Iceman is the do all. Immune to bleed, poison and incinerate, ice armor that can eat a sp3 and take 500 damage. Cold snap that can stop evades like spidey. I would say he is the top champ in the game if not top 3.
