**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Am I missing something or is there a reasonable way to get T3CC?

I do the daily quest every single day. It guarantees 625 fragments, or about 22% of a complete catalyst, and in all my time doing it I've never received a fully formed catalyst from a chest. The hard path will usually give me maybe a few hundred fragments. So let's say About 1,000 fragments for doing both paths 100%, or just over a third of one catalyst for almost a fully bar of energy. At that rate, it takes about a month to form one catalyst, when a 4* requires three just to get to rank 4 and a 5* requires three to get to rank 2.

Okay, so do the 22 hour solo event, people say. The current solo event gives 3 fragment crystals at 22,100 points, and 7 more at 34,000 points. My experience with these is that they each give about 10% of a catalyst, so let's say 1 fully formed catalyst at 34,000 points. The most efficient way to get the points varies month to month, but generally you can get about 40 points per energy. So 850 energy and an absurd amount of grinding for one catalyst. If you're content to get a third of a catalyst each day, which isn't so bad, it will only cost you 552 energy and still a lot of grinding. (I'm ignoring the rank rewards for the 7h and 22h because for most players they are not regularly achievable).

Map 2 crystals give lots of T3CC, but if you're in a good alliance, you probably aren't doing Map 2 anymore. I've tried bugging my alliance to do it once in awhile, but I don't want to drag the entire alliance on my lame quest to get low level items.

This leaves me with the one single catalyst as the top prize for the class specialist alliance event. This honestly seems like the most reliable way to get T3CC, which is insane. I have T1A and T4B in overflow because I can't scrounge up enough T3CC to rank anyone. Am I missing something? Is there some secret way to get this stuff that I haven't thought of?

T3 should be overflowing. I get tons of t3 crystals, fragmants from alliance and solo events. Milestones and Rank Rewards

Cool, it's not though. Alliance events do not give T3CC except the class specialist event, which gives one catalyst every week or so. Solo events do give fragments, but only at the top two milestones, which I discuss at length above.

There are a few alliance events that give T3B, and solo events give lots of fragments at lower milestones, but I very specifically am not talking about T3B.

I usually get at least 1 when doing Proving Grounds 100% (sometimes 2 and sometimes 3 of I form another). Only rarely do I ever get just Fragments only (and running it more then twice to 100% is not a good idea IMO).

The issue might be you didn't keep topped up and then all of a sudden you need them and have issues getting them quickly. The best advice it keep yourself topped up on all cats (I make sure every day to check the event and see if I am missing any cats of that class). Also you are at the time in the game when you need a lot of them... that time will soon pass when you are focusing more on only 4 and 5*s. A

Also trying to do a ton of ranking all at once or all in the same week can lead to this too (so can buying crystals with $, this will leave you with a gold shortage and a cat shortage).

Just wanted to mention all the factors and possibles that came to mind. I am sure there are more though.

  • Unless you count spending money on bundles, no, there isnt a reasonable way.

I have been playing for months, I do the class event every day, and I have literally never gotten a fully formed T3CC from a chest. I get fully formed T3B from Proving Grounds all the time, but never from the class event.

I am focusing exclusively on 4* and 5*s, but like I mentioned, 4*s need three to get to rank 4 and 5*s need three to get to rank 2. How am I supposed to get topped up when I need three per champ and I'm lucky if I get one or two in a month?

Weird... that doesn't match my experience at all.

Also I am not telling you what to do... I was only giving possible reasons for why most of us have T3 overflow and you don't.

Are you waiting for corresponding events to rank and level up (level up events and class Advancement solo events?)? These are super easy to get milestone rewards from (especially if you have the self control to wait for them before leveling and ranking and plan ahead). Also by doing it this way you get resources each time you spend other resources ranking and leveling and on top of that it spaces out your rankings and leveling giving you time to top off before the next one. Just gotta plan better is the only thing I can think of (that and some other factors I am sure... but I don't know your account so cannot tell you what they are/were for sure, can only give you examples of what it could be).

Do solo events gives you full t3cc crystals man. Hit all those milestones

As I discussed, solo events do not give full t3cc unless you hit the top 1-10% rank rewards. It takes something like 850 energy just to hit the final milestone of the Event Completion 22h solo event, and generally twice the final milestone to get the top rank rewards. That's about 20 full energy refills even if you are using all of your natural energy, for 3 fully formed t3cc, which only ends up being slightly cheaper than just buying them when the offer comes up if you run the map a couple times.

So as my post above asked... do you only rank and level during events like "Mutant Advancement" and "Level Up"?

I do horde all my resources for the 22h level up event and the 7h class advancement event, but the irony is that I generally can't get very far because I lack the catalysts to rank enough champs and keep leveling them to get more points.

Okay. I'm out of ideas then. There is an issue on how you are managing your time and/or events... just not sure where. Good luck in figuring it out though... hope you get it solved!

    EDIT:

Just thought of one more thing... you cannot do all level up events and shouldn't try. Sometimes you need to skip one to clear the next one. Just a thought.
Also another good piece of advice is wait during level up events for an Class Advancement even to line up with it. I do this each one (sometimes you get 2 or more Class Advancement events during a single Level Up Event which allows you to get like 3x's the rewards for the same amount of leveling).

Thank you for at least trying to help, unlike others in this thread whose advice is just "I have lots, lol". Maybe I just have a management issue, but it still seems weird that the solo events are the only real way to get this stuff. Like I mentioned, I have an overflow of alphas and T4 basics, and you'd think that would be harder to get than lower tier items.

You could also do the medium difficulty which guarantees a t2cc for exploration. That converts to an additional 130 T3 fragments. And there's also the collector free for all on Sunday which gives an amount of fragments that I can't recall at the moment.

I think the most important thing about T3CC, at least unless you're overflowing with them, is to grind for them when you don't need them so they are already there when you want them. When you say it takes about a month to form one, you actually get about six in that time period: one for each class. All the while you're earning three for one class, you have the time to earn three for all classes. If you grind for them ahead of time by trying to keep full (I try to keep full for all T1-3cc, plus have a small amount in overflow) then you won't be grinding a long time for the ones you need, you'll be spending the ones you already have and grinding to replace them, which generally means you're out of them less often.
