Infinity Dungeons and Definition of a “Newer Player”

As many of you are aware, the new infinity dungeons are stacked with different tiers and different rewards. There have been a few complaints about people not getting the higher tier rewards, but Kabam has been clear that it is to prevent “newer players” from gaining “champions or items they cannot use yet.” It is truly admirable how valiantly they are protecting the community from these “newer players.”
As I do not believe that what qualifies as a newer player has been adequately discussed, I want to give a brief summary of myself since kabam has labeled me as a “newer player.” My overall hero rating is 367,971 (would be much higher but I don’t do arena), I have played the game for the short amount of time of 3 years, and I currently have 28 unique 5*s, a few of which are duped. Unfortunately, of those 5*s, I only viewed 2 as worthy of r4 and only have one 6* (soon to be two). Because of this, my prestige is right around 5300. Thankfully, Kabam has prevented me from getting the higher rewards in infinity dungeons as my account is no where near what should qualify for unlocking all the 5* crystals and the opportunity to get better items as, after all, I’m clearly too new to have them.
Interestingly, though, with the push of a button I can become a veteran player! With my 12 t2 alphas I can r4 one of my currently rank 3 5*s (or 3 of them if I chose). By merely pressing the “upgrade” button, selecting ISO-8, and using some gold, my prestige will jump to over 5550 and I go from a “newer player” to a “veteran player” in about 60 seconds! After all, those 60 seconds are more important than the three years I have spent on this game.
I find it especially important that, because I have not had very good luck with 5* crystals, that I be forced to settle for lower rewards unless I rank up one of the less satisfying champions that I have been gifted with. This example of forcing people to rank up 5*s that they do not like demonstrates pure strategic genius. Ranking up someone to r4 that I don’t particularly like is simply an excellent way to make the game enjoyable. I can think of nothing I would love to do more.
Ultimately, I would like to applaud the thought put into who is a “newer player” and what we should be forced to do so that, after multiple years of playing, we can finally shed the title and be worthy of getting the full rewards.

This killed me
so I totally understand why my rewards are capped as it wouldn’t be fair for a new player such as myself to get such an advantage.
Having said that I could rank up my god tier sig60 5* antman to 4/55 and potentially unlock the next milestone (be nice to know if you can do that) but tbh I want the game to be challenging and I’ll just steam roll everything with that guy
