If Red Hulk is incinerate immune, then does his signature ability increasing his resistance to incinerate actually do anything?

Red Hulk is incinerate DEBUFF immune, but you need him duped for him to be resistant to incinerate DAMAGE (like from Mephisto's aura which doesn't apply an incinerate debuff but just does incinerate damage.)
