MCOC damaging phones?

It's been reported that the overheating/crashing issue is very likely damaging people's phones... If this is the case, why would the game still be running at all? Wouldn't it be more prudent to take the game down all together to ensure no physical damage to very expensive user hardware? You can tell people to control how they play in small chunks but it seems to show a lack of due diligence as we all know people won't control themselves in this way.
Pause all the events, work the issue internally until you're not making people's phones overheat and die, make a plan to makeup for whatever lost time was incurred, save people thousands of dollars each. Not an easy decision to make but I'd hope its more important to Kabam to ensure their users' devices aren't permanently damaged, as opposed to making sure they continue their micro transaction revenue stream off this game.

Yeah I've purposely avoided playing to not damage my phone, and it's making me re-think playing this game at all... I got a few more workouts in over the last few days over and above what I'd normally do... So this game is kind of keeping me from being in good shape lol

I use iPad Pro to play, and it gets warm and shuts itself down frequently. Very worried and do little arena now.

    Hello,

We are still working toward a resolution for the issues around performance in the 19.0 update. When we have any new information or status we'll post it in the official announcement thread or the merged thread about the issue.
