One thing I don’t quite understand is your saying Medusa is pretty irrrelevant and you can beat with basically any champ. Node 30 and 31 in alliance wars I see everyone have trouble with a 5* R5 Medusa that regens with either debuffs or buffs respectively.
Lotta people say a lotta dumb stuff on this forum. Usually they have supreme confidence when they say it. Arguing which are the god tier champs has always been a dumb thing to do imo.
As for Ms, play with her. See if she fits your style and the stuff you have to deal with in game. Can only listen to people argue for their favorites for so long lol. And you never really know if they deal with the same thing you deal with in game

Not many options to rank to rank a 5* to R5. Already have Blade as R5. Other options besides MS are Magik, Hulk OG, Hyperion, Ultron or Sabretooth. I also have a 6* Duped GG that I could take to R3 in a month as an option. I would also need to use a generic AG on the MS, Hyperion or ST.

I think it depends greatly on how good you are with Morningstar. I've seen great things done with her, but I think she is a bit like Ghost Rider in the sense that some people seem to play the champ well and get great results and others don't. If you're one of those people that gets great results from Morningstar, then I think that's a legitimate choice for R5. Magik, Hyperion, and Sabretooth are also good choices because they are all good playable options and can do double duty as decent defenders when not being played.
But if you're not sure, you can also wait: there are potentially better options out there you might pull between now and when you have to use the resources. My thinking on upgrades when it comes to hard to get resources is if the rank up is going to save you time and/or money or is going to make your gameplay significantly better right now, then a bird in the hand is worth taking now. But if it isn't going to be game changing, I generally wait until it is.
Funny that you used GR and MS as an example. I had a 3/45 GR before I ever 5/50’d a 4* I eventually r4’d GR and he carried me through all of Act 4 and most all of Act 5. I only have 5.2.6 left to achieve Elders Bane. I’m waiting to finish it bc I already have 2 T5B and I don’t have near enough cats to r5 my 4/55 sig 100 SS or 4/55 sig 40 MS or 4/55 sig 80 KM I also have 3/45 sig 40 ST. I love them all. I also use a 5/50 sig 79 Blade.
MS and GR are amazing if played correctly. My 4/55 GR is unawakened and I love him bc if his utility! GR don’t get much love unawakened but in my eyes he has always been my safety net.
MS is a Massochism God awakened! Mainly bc you drain the opponents buffs. I love infinite regen with MS while fighting Massochism. MS has a slow ramp up to deal with but at 5 souls she is incredible!
As many powerful champions that are being rolled out monthly it’s hard to make the big rank up decisions! What if you pull a Heimdall sooner than later. That guy sounds insane!

Where did I ever say I was certain? Looking for many opinions and sorry if you think I should just listen to you alone. One of the things I said was I needed a good counter to Medusa on tough nodes in AW and that is why MS is part of the discussion. I use Magik all of the time currently in AW but she doesn’t work well enough against Medusa on certain nod s.

I have both champs at rank 5 and both are great champs. I love MS once you get her to 5 souls. Steals buffs, prefect block, life steal, L1 hits like a tank, L2 destroys champs with multiple buffs = awesome champ (god tier).
By the way check Yeet’s profile he has MS and Magik and he choose to 5/65 Magik instead of MS. His 4/55 MS does the job good enough. No 5/65 needed. It is all about skills. Maybe you have to improve and need more health on your champs. 😂
