Which supposedly god-tier champ did you end up most disappointed in after getting them?

For me it was Voodoo. I know he needs to be duped, but I thought he was still supposed to be good unduped so I was really excited to get him as a 5*. I have him at 2/28 because he almost never places a loa or successfully converts them into poison, and in the meantime he plays like a glass cannon for me, but without the cannon.

Blade, he's not at all as good as everyone makes he seem.

Blade. Got him as a 4* duped and I can see where people are coming from, but I just don’t think he lives up to the hype he gets

I gotta say I think it's Voodoo also. I pulled him as a 5* and then duped him soon after. He's good, but I don't think he's as good as everyone says. I have him at r3 but I don't think I will be taking him to r4.

Blade is only god when coupled with GR and Spark. And then only against villains and dimensional beings, which just happened to be killing everyone in AW (Mystic Wars MD, all good defenders were either villains or dim beings).

He and the synergy did great things for me in A5. For me he was the only sustainable 4-40, but only when in the trinity.

DV has to be used right.

In short, there are no more standalone push a button to clear everything champs. They either can't do everything or they rely on synergies and then still can't do everything.

Voodoo has a steeper learning curve than most god tier champs:

Blade = Parry and hold block
Sparky = Evade attacks
Void = Play keep away
Iceman = Don't lose ice armor
Hyperion = Parry & use heavy attacks and back up & hold block to regenerate
Corvus Glaive = Parry and attack
Archangel = Parry and use heavy attacks
Gwenpool = Get a 50+ hit combo
Medusa = Use 2 medium attacks then sp1
Star Lord = Long combos

Voodoo/Ghost Rider/Killmonger require more thought than the above god tier champions. Killmonger you weigh the benefits of using his sp1 or sp2, Ghost Rider you decide the order to use his different judgments for maximum effect based on game mode, and Voodoo you decide whether to use his special attacks on odd or even combos depending on different variables. Lots of players say Voodoo doesn't "hit hard". Voodoo can solo close to all tier 1-3 AW bosses so I still don't know what players mean by "hit hard".

To be honest... iceman. With all the hype around him I thought he would be better than amazing. Dont get me wrong he is a good champ just didn't live up to the hype. I have him dupped 5*

Voodoo needs to be duped with MD to be great. His utility is maybe the best in the game.

Blade is the same for me. Don't get me wrong. He is outstanding when it comes to long fights against guys that bleed, but I just think he is good, not great. His regen and bleed are sweet, and he hits hard if you have the trinity and are able to use danger sense, but even then there are still other champs I like using more like AA and Void.

For me it's Medusa. She hits fairly hard and her armor shatter is great, but compared to other god tier champs I'm not a huge fan.

Doctor strange before 12.0 (though I did already have SW by that point). Nowadays, probably voodoo too

For me I prefer my 5* voodoo but I was so so disappointed with my 5* morningstar she was so overhyped you realise once I started using her.

honestly for me it's Star Lord. has no reliable utility other than hitting hard. can't take him in war anymore, can't take him in end game content past act 5.3, is good for LOL if you have him as a 5*. The meta has phased him out, he's just not that useful anymore.

I really like this question...Medusa is probably my top choice. I'm starting to like her a little more, but I especially had trouble playing aggressive enough with her at first. She is pretty good, but still prefer Thor and Hype over her.

At 4/55 he was hands down my MVP for finishing act 5

Anyway, on topic. He is not necessarily god tier, but I ranked Sabretooth up on recommendations from friends.
The payoff for building up his damage just isn't worth it.

Voodoo. He’s newer for me, but I’ve found that SL, iceman, blade and GR are my base quest team. With voodoo being put in for specific circumstances...whereas the other 4 have had utility on all maps. Medusa isn’t far behind voodoo tho.

Morningstar, I’m just not talented enough to get her to her soul tipping point (when she becomes a goddess) without getting creamed. So maybe it’s me that I’m disappointed in and not her....

I guess for me it was more the fact that I had other champs that could do what Voodoo does. For power control I had Magik, for ability accuracy reduction I had AA and his ability reduction is so much better. Guess I just didn't really have use for Voodoo, I'd probably r4 him someday when t2a are more readily available.

Yeah but that’s also 2 champs you have to use instead of just 1 (DV can do both well). But to each their own.

The two for me are Magik and Iceman. There’s so much hype about Magik and I just do not get it. Yeah power lock is nice but that’s about all she has. It’s kinda meh. She can’t take a hit and her base attack is really poor. Iceman has his uses (triple immunity is fantastic) but I just don’t get much fun or satisfaction from using him.

Blade, hands down. He's great with Phisto as long as I'm fighting mystics. Considering I do not have a Sparky or a Ghost Rider he's really just a meh champ.
