Kabams stance on accounts being given away

Is someone giving there account away a violation. I know of a few players that have permanently retired and instead of that account going to waste it was given to friends ect.

It is against the Tos. The account is being played by another person.
This is the same thing as buying and selling accounts

Personally, if the original owner is done and no longer using it and didnt sell it for a profit, i think it should be fair game

Im pretty sure however Kabam sees it as a violation.

Could we get an official statement from Kabam on this? I have one such account that I have been using for a while. Isn't okay to have multiple accounts? e.g. create a second account and play with that. In my case my 3 accounts (main, 2nd created, 3rd inherited) are all played by me 100% of the time.

They’ve said multiple times that it’s okay to have multiple accounts. However, you can’t “inherit” or buy an account as that’s against the TOS.

Hey there, to answer the questions some have asked here, creating and playing multiple accounts is perfectly fine, so long as the player who created them is the only one playing them. Playing on an account that you didn't create or allowing someone to use an account you created is not allowed under the terms of service and can result in actions being taken on the accounts in question.
