So the only way to get stoney mastery nodes is by paying for them.

There should be contest to get the nodes you actually need to master your character. The stoney node and the blue one. Yhey should not be for the rich only that's very unfair

They are available for units, which means you don't need to pay cash for them.
Save units and you will eventually get enough to unlock everything

There were some in Rocket's scrapyard but that's the only time I can think of that you could get them without units.

Mastery CORES. And there are plenty of ways to get them, just don’t spend units on crystals. I recently bought lvl 1 in despair and deep wounds, that took a lot of units, but it was worth it and I’m going to keep upgrading DW.

I believe there was a short event a year or so ago where mastery core prices were halved. I would not mind to see that return though.

It really doesnt take too long grinding arena milestones to get enough units. I mean, you need the gold anyway and in all likelihood, you'll get some decent units in the battle chips you spend on arena crystals.

Since I've been playing thinking it's been a couple of years, they let u pick up those cores in Rockets scrap yard, and then I've seen them on sale 50% off in units once. I'm sure they'll do it again when/if they ever add new masteries.
