Dysfunctional detection protocol?

Please summoners read this and post your thoughts.

Piloting is something that Kabam has been recently cracking down upon and regardless of how anyone feels about that topic, this post is to question how do they determine piloting?

I work for the government in a 3 letter agency which requires much travel domestically and internationally. Recently I had been given an overseas assignment. I traveled through several continental states and three countries during this assignment logging at each of them to keep my calendar moving and trying out the new symbiote difficultly.

On my return I had a long layover and figured I’d do some symbiote questing, I quickly discovered I was “unable to log on for a set amount of time”. Reaching out to support I wrote a long ticket detailing my concern, A canned reply came indicating that I had been account sharing. Utterly absurd! I have proof of my travels and could take pics of the two devices I play on but you can’t reach anyone to discuss this.

Let me ask you this summoners
Is this action against me fair?

Would you like Kabam to have more transparency in the mechanics of determining punitive actions?

Should there be an appeal process?

If you didn't log in and were unable to do so and got hit for account sharring then some was and it's why you got dinged.

Their detection system is more complicated than you realize and tracks more then you think and let's just say if you connect it with social media yeah then they know you.

It's not a bout having 2 accounts,it's not about playing two devices, it's not about traveling NATURALLY and loging in it's about someone else getting into your account or accounts and accessing it or SOMEONE else In another part of the world where you can not get to NATURALLY.

As for what you signed up by playing the game and connecting your social media ah well yeah you're screwed if they dont match.

They assign your account/ accounts specific id's, user ID, behavioral data, activity on your account/ accounts, location when playing, what you do In game.

The emails they are tied to your kabam, iOS Google play and your other connected social media emails.

The third party data that they collect from your social media.

IE posibilly your name, your gender, your age, your birthday, your location, your friends who play the game the posts you make, your profile picture, your user ID, your groups there and your posts, your physical location accross ANY device connected to kabam or third party sites that you use.

They keep track of your devices and IP'S actually to be more specific, they collect technical information about your computer or Wireless Device, such as your IP address, operating system type, device ID, browser, domain and other systems information your ID number, is collected through the use of server log files and tracking technologies, including your cookies and Wireless Device to uniquely identify your browser or mobile device or to store information in your browser setting; and web beacons, which are small files that allow us to measure the actions of visitors to the Websites or Services as further explained in their Policy.

If they are partnered or in agreement with your phone carrier they may have access to your unique device identifier which isa number automatically assigned to your mobile or wireless device, your device type, and information you choose to provide or share, such as e-mail address.

The information you give to them directly.

Data and filies they download to you devices that DON'T need your permission.

If you make purchases then they may have your zip, your billing address, name, credit card information, etc.

If you recommend friends here ( to game) you may give kabam their phone number, their email address, send them emails that they may track etc.

To put it more simply looks like some of y'all just don't read, and just aren't realizing just how much information they have about you and your friends and god knows what else.

And if you buy an account then you're screwed.

If you were given an account then you're screwed.

If you let anyone into your account to play for you then you're screwed.

If you or them hack or modding, or use third apps not approved, or bots then you're screwed probably forever.

It's simple travel naturally, make sure you are the CREATOR and SOLE USER of your account or accounts and that they can ONLY be tied to you if you do that you will have 0 problems.

I am speaking from personal experience and had been using 2 accounts, 2 of them in the same alliance, 2 devices that I occasionally interchange or buy new ones and just transfer them to said devices.

And I have been doing so for well over a year now and my alliance has NOT been docked because of me rather we were docked because a group of new members did that stuff but it was not noticeable but it obviously happened since I received the message about it and swiftly investigated and booted them and since that one time we have not had any more issues

So just play the game NATURALLY and legitimately because if not then yeah ^^ it's all that verus your word and by just playing and linking your stuff to kabam or their games you give them access to all the relevant details that they need to take action against your account/ accounts since they are basically a big brother

@Demonzfyre it’s not my first time traveling like this however I don’t usually login in so many locations in such a short time but the schedule allowed it this time. And I completely understand what @Darkstar4387 is saying however even with his explanation a person playing naturally as I do can have many IPs appearing in short time in many locations plus it does not allow for vpn. Believe me if it was the case that I was piloting or account sharing I’d eat the punishment as deserved. I don’t expect Kabam to overturn anything I’m just saying as community we should be entitled to an appeal process or at least more of a transparent process and information. Transparency doesn’t mean exposing trade secrets.

Number of times logged in wont have anything to do with it or as many locations. I am speculating but I am sure they have data of the type of device you use. So seeing you log into that device over and over regardless of country, wouldn't get you banned. No let's say you logged in while you were in "Japan" and 10 minutes later it shows you logged in from "Texas". That would get you banned.

Fellas, you can all brag about knowing something about something. Bottom line here is op reading between the lines got the week long ban, which he should eat if indeed this was "circumstances and ####," since sometimes there are false positives but there's such a frothing-at-the-mouth witch hunt for AW pilots that it's almost better to NOT err on the side of caution to instill an even greater fear of cheating.
If he gets the next step month long ban, or the permaban, well he'll just join the long list of troll bait here on the boards.

So...there’s this thing called terms and conditions that you said that you read and agreed to.

One of such things is that kabam has total control over you playing on your account or not and LEGALLY has NO OBLIGATION to share any reason why.

You can’t “sue” them for it either because it basically said you can’t sue us for any problem you have with the game. Sooooo....read the terms and conditions before writing a text wall of China with no tldr, ya?

Also, a 3 letter government agency? Someone who actually worked at a “3 letter government agency” wouldn’t care about saying “oh I work for da guverment.” They would simply say “My work requires lots of travel.

If u got banned u got banned. If you’re being truthful, sorry man, u got kabammed. Not a fun time. Somehow I doubt it tho...

    Hello Chan1689,

Unfortunately the forums are not the appropriate place to discuss these issues. If you believe that you were unfairly banned from the game, this is an issue that you will need to discuss with support.

For further information, please use this link here in our forums regarding bans.

We will be closing this thread. Thank you.
