Gwenpool doesn't powerlock hyperion?

So ive noticed this for awhile now. Why doesnt gwenpool powerlock hyperions powergain. Am i missing something or is it a bug?

    She only stops power gain when striking opponents not passive power gain

    Enervate prevents opponent from gaining power from gwenpool's attacks. Abilities that give power are not affected

    And they will gain power if they hit you.

    GP only "powerlocks" power gained through her hits. No other power is blocked.
