Crazy Idea #42: AEGON vs Champion Rematch

So how about when you get to the final boss fight for the first time you get to use AEGON at half the power of Champ. If he defeats you you have the remainder of your team to finish him off. After beating him AEGON gets stronger each time you reach the final boss. By the time you clear all the paths you are equal strength with Champ. It would be a cool way to showcase a new character and let us take em for a spin. You wouldn’t have to rank them up except to clear paths. They wouldn’t be part of your roster just when you are fighting the final boss.
What do you all think about the concept?

I like the thought of a story based fight where champs are pre-selected for you, not done in excessive amounts of course, but maybe for this since it said Domino couldn’t beat him and well...she kinda did in the actual gameplay

See they were setting up as AEGON was the only one that could defeat him...well then let us use him! I mean this was probably the perfect time for this idea to really work cause it would have flowed with the story perfectly but it could be modified for the rematch pretty easily.

It is strange, they should add some some sort of epiglouge dialogue at the end of each EQ explaining or just not have this buildup with no payoff, unless you wait for champs to come out accordingly

is that not the same with every eq tho story leading up to the final boss when its up to us the Summoner to lay the smack down!. Remember originally the champ just laughed at poor aegon and plucked of his arm like a twig its only when he was distracted by the collectors daughter that aegon was able to beat him.
Also the EQ story builds up to act 6

I actually think that's a good idea. It could be adapted in a cool way, and give us a hint of what the new champions are like to control. Maybe make us try to pull them from crystals even quicker!

But mainly, the big advantage of something like this would be integrating the story of the quest more with the gameplay!
