Alliance Chat Notifications

I love this game, but the in-game chat is a problem. If you are instructed to do something in AQ or AW or an event of some sort, but are taking a break from the game for a few hours, you won't find out until you login again. This is why so many alliances turn to apps like GroupMe or Line to communicate. If you receive notifications whenever someone gives you instructions, it's easier to effectively follow those instructions. I love this game, but I don't want to install an outside application that eats up storage just to have the one contact titled "ALLIANCE" and maybe a couple that say "BATTLEGROUP 2 CHAT" or "AW STRATEGY" or something like that. It would be much easier if Kabam made an option for Alliance messages and messages from Friends give you notifications. For example, when someone sends you a gift, it says: "RandomSummonerName has sent you a gift!" There could be an option in the settings that allows you to turn on notifications for in-game chat. It would just be a copy-and-paste of previous programming. Please implement this, Kabam. It would greatly help out dedicated alliances.

Already bad enough that I have to get messages while at work, but now I'll be able to get spammed ingame

It would be optional in the settings. You wouldn't have to do it, but it would certainly help out most of us.

This concept would eliminate the need for outside apps, which would make many more willing to participate in demanding alliances.

I'm permanently banned from Global Chat and my alliance uses GroupMe or Line so I could care less about the ingame chat.

I would like to have a chat channel where officers can communicate with each other; like when discussing whether to promote a member to Officer.

Notifications would eliminate the need for those apps, though. It just makes life easier.

I've recently quit my alliance and started looking for a new one. Next to no good alliances DON'T use Line or something. Please implement this, as I don't want a whole new app just for this already storage-consuming game.

I don't think it's necessary. Companies should stick to what they're good at and outsource what they're not good at (I can hear the jokes already...). Apps like Line and Discord are specialised communication apps that work well and are free. There's no point in Kabam trying to compete with them.

In any case, many companies use WhatsApp and Outlook for internal communication. They don't try to build their own communication apps.

He's not talking about Kabam creating anything that would compete with Line and Discord. He's suggesting that the game use push notifications. All it would do is let you know when something happens in-game that you need to look at.

I can't use Line. The area of the world I live in makes certain apps problematic. So even though I usually hate push notifications, this would work well for me.

The idea needs a little work. I certainly don't want a notification every time someone in my battle group writes a message. However, with some tweaking to make sure that only the messages that we need are sending notifications, this could be an extremely useful addition.

I'm not suggesting they use an app. I'm suggesting they make an option so you will know if someone says something in your alliance.

Maybe a little check-box that people could select when posting a message could say "instructions" or "announcement" or "conversation", and only the first 2 would send notifications.

Okay, let's all stop using the forums at all unless we're complaining about broken things. Is that your suggestion? Well, it seems like you're breaking your own rule. You've posted 10 threads yourself, so don't tell others not to give Kabam any ideas to work on.
