Just as a reminder, our rules:

Character requests are still a very frequent topic of conversation within our community, and with good reason - there are a ton of amazing Marvel characters in their universe.

The old Character wish list thread was ballooning a bit, and several characters requested in that thread have since been added to The Contest. We're starting up a new thread to house these discussions so that they can continue, but in a more up to date manner.

A few FAQ's:

1) Why haven't you added (X character) yet?!

A: there are so many characters we want to add, but simply haven't gotten to yet. A character's lack of presence in the Contest currently does not necessarily mean that we've overlooked them or that we don't already have them on our radar. Our teams have a finite amount of time in order to produce content, and we'd love to bang characters out quicker - but still need to maintain realistic developer cadences.

2) We need more female characters and more diversity.

A: Our own team is quite diverse itself, and we agree that representation is an important concern!

3) Why do you bother adding (X re-skinned character) when you've not even had a chance to add (x character not in The Contest)?

A: While some people are not a fan of character re-skins, MANY of our players are. The Marvel universe is one with a lengthy lore, and almost every beloved character has gone through some sort of costume change or shift at some point in their super-powered careers. These differences offer a good opportunity to re-introduce players to content they may not have managed to obtain the first time around, and allowing new players to pick up a certain champion while still keeping things a bit fresh. Our goal is to have a healthy balance between release types.

4) Can you confirm if a requested character is going to be released?

A: The short answer is no. We have specific timelines regarding when we can announce content, and that means that we can't pop in to say 'hey, that person is coming!'. For those wanting to keep on top of our latest announcements or teases, following our Twitter and Facebook accounts are your best shot. We also have an Instagram account that you should follow. ABILITIES:

Unbreakable Skin - Passive:
• Black Dwarf reduces the damage from all incoming attacks by 90% and becomes fully immune to all Bleed effects.
• Unbreakable Skin is disabled for 25 seconds if Black Dwarf is struck 20 times within 30 seconds
• When Black Dwarf uses a special attack, Unbreakable Skin is disabled for 15 seconds

When Blocking:
• Block Profficiency and Perfect Block chance are increased if Unbreakable Skin is active

When Heavy Attack Charging:
• Black Dwarf gains a Counterattack charge every .5 seconds (Up to a maximum of 10 charges)
• If Black Dwarf is struck when charging his heavy attack, he'll convert each Counterattack charge into an Unstoppable buff, each lasting for 7.5 seconds. Each Unstoppable buff can be nullified when Black Dwarf is struck

Unbreakable Skin Cooldown - Passive:
• While Unbreakable Skin is disabled, Black Dwarf regenerates 0.5% of his lost health per second
• All debuffs inflicted by Black Dwarf last +2 seconds longer

Cosmic Rage - Medium Hits:
• Each Medium hit grants Black Dwarf a permanent Fury buff, increasing his attack rating by 10% until the next special attack is used (Up to a maximum of 20 stacks)
• 40% chance to inflict Armor Break, removing enemy armor and placing an armor rating reduction for 14 seconds

Numb the Pain - Passive:
• When dropping below 20% of his max health, Black Dwarf would disable his Unbreakable Skin to gain a 15-second Indestructible buff
• While this buff is active, Black Dwarf's Critical Damage rating would be increased

Special Attacks:
• Disables his Unbreakable Skin to deal 90% more special damage
• Black Dwarf converts all Counterattack charges into Unstoppable buffs, which last for 11.5 seconds. Additionally, Black Dwarf's attack rating will be increased by 16.5% for each active Unstoppable buff activated

Wonder Man (Simon Williams) - (Cosmic) - No, seriously, how can he NOT be in this game? His Ionic Energy should give you so many ideas for proper usage. Synergies should include Ultron, Iron Man, Vision, and Scarlet Witch.

I need to get this off my chest because it's been killing me over the past few years. I would love to see better characters. This venom the duck or howard venom symbiote caca is just poop. It's a waste in an otherwise great game. Venompool was pushing it, if we were going to do another symbiote character why not Wolverine? Why not the 5 other big symbiotes from the Lethal Protector series? How about Toxin even? It feels like you're just throwing D list characters at us and it hurts to see them get picked over cooler and more serious characters.

- Landing a hit transforms Mystique into the class selected for 12 seconds. Mystique can’t transform again for 10 seconds.
- Skill: Basic attacks have a 30% chance to inflict Bleed, dealing 590 direct damage over 4 seconds. Also, gain +61% Critical Damage against bleeding opponents.

Missions From Thanos - Passive

- Ebony Maw has 3 missions to complete. Every time he completes a mission, he gains a Persistent Charge and a Prowess buff, increasing his special damage by 233.3%.
- Ebony Maw starts the fight with the number of Prowess buffs equal to his Persistent Charge.
- Mission 1: Herald the Conquest: Knock out a Cosmic Champion. Once this mission is complete, Cosmic Champions’ Attack and Buff Potency are reduced by 50%.
- Mission 2: Unveil Secrets: Knock out a member of S.H.I.E.L.D, the Illuminati, or Chronos Corps. Once this mission is complete, champions with any team affiliation other than Thanos’ Army suffer 15% reduced ability and give Ebony Maw +10% Block Proficiency.
- Mission 3: Capture the Sorcerer: Knockout a Mystic Champion. Once this mission is complete, Mystic champions cannot Nullify or Fate Seal Ebony Maw’s Prowess buffs.

Medium Attacks

- Ebony Maw telekinetically launches a wave of rocks and debris at the opponent, dealing non contact physical damage.
- The Maw’s psychic assaults come from all angles, reducing the chance to trigger an auto block or evade by 90%.
- 20% chance to refresh any Bleeds on the opponent.

Light Attacks

- The Maw’s telekinetic blasts deal contact energy damage.
- 20% chance to refresh any Heal Block or Power Lock debuff on the opponent.

When Attacked

- 20% chance to stop incoming non-energy based projectiles and send them back at the opponent, passively dealing 60% of the damage back to the opponent. If Ebony Maw is blocking, instead reflect 167% of the damage.

When Blocking

- Ebony Maw blocks with levitated rocks, which deteriorate upon taking damage.
- As long as Ebony Maw holds block, he gains 4 passive Block Proficiency effects, each increasing block proficiency by 12.5%. Cooldown: 0.5 seconds.
- Blocking 2 hits removes 1 effect. Opponents with extra block penetration only need one hit.
- Ebony Maw can block Unblockable attacks, at the expense of all Block Proficiency effects.
- Using a medium attack converts this effect into 110.8 physical damage to the opponent.

Special Attacks

- 80% chance to inflict Heal Block, preventing the opponent from recovering health for 7 seconds.

Special 1

- Ebony Maw’s telekinetic blast disrupts the flow of power within the opponent, giving this attack a 100% chance to instantly drain a full bar of power and an 80% chance to inflict Power Lock for 7 seconds.

Special 2

- A barrage of sharpened spikes is followed by a strong telekinetic blast.
- 60% chance to inflict Bleed, dealing 554 direct damage over 6 seconds.
- 100% chance to inflict Power Lock for 7 seconds.

Special 3

- Ebony Maw encases the opponent in nearby materials, inflicting an Agility debuff for 10 seconds.
- Agility debuffs reduce the ability accuracy of evades and the dexterity mastery by 100%.
- While this debuff is active, if the opponent would either evade or activate the dexterity mastery, the Maw restrains them further, instantly dealing 20% of his Attack as physical damage and adding an extra second to the duration of this debuff.

- Increase Cloak’s Stun durations by 50%**. If the Stun was inflicted by the Parry mastery, instead increase Cloak’s power gain by 25%** for the duration of the Stun.

Abilities

Spiritual Hunger - Passive

- Cloak’s soul is always hungry, constantly draining 15% of his max power per second.
- Cloak’s will to satisfy his hunger grants him up to +100% Attack and +90% chance to shrug off debuffs based on how low Cloak’s stored power is. If Cloak is below one power bar, he also gains a passive True Strike effect.
- Cloaks hunger is satisfied by striking the opponent, giving basic attacks a 30% chance to steal 10% of the opponent’s max power.
- Stealing power in this way pauses Cloak’s power leakage for .75 seconds.

Dev note: the pause on Cloak’s power leakage is so you can use special attacks.

When Dashing Back

- Cloak teleports through the Darkforce Dimension, evading all attacks by dashing back. This ability isn’t affected by ability accuracy reduction.
- If Cloak avoided an attack through this ability, 50% chance to become Intangible for 5 seconds.
- While Intangible, all incoming attacks have a 60% chance to Miss, cannot trigger abilities, and Cloak gets +10% Critical Rating.

Special Attacks

- Cloak brings the fight into the Darkforce Dimension for 12 seconds.
- While in the Darkforce Dimension, Cloak gets +55% Critical Damage and +75% block and armor penetration.

Special 1

- 70% chance to inflict Stun for 3 seconds.
- Convert any extra power left over from this attack into energy damage, dealing 1% of Cloak’s Attack as energy damage for each percent of a bar of power converted.

Special 2

- 100% chance to inflict Stun for 4 seconds.
- Convert any extra power left over from this attack into energy damage, dealing 2.5% of Cloak’s Attack as energy damage for each percent of a bar of power converted.

Special 3:

- This attack Power Locks Cloak for 12 seconds.
- 100% chance to Stun the opponent for 4 seconds.

- Dagger’s medium and heavy attacks utilize her non-contact energy based light daggers and give Dagger zero power.
- Dagger passively gains 7.5% of her max power per second, and takes up to 5% of her max health as direct damage per second based on stored power.
- Attacks that utilize light daggers ignore all armor, generate zero power in the opponent, and life steal 50% of the damage dealt.
- Medium and heavy attacks convert 10% of Dagger’s max power into bonus energy damage equal to 10% of her Attack.
- Special attacks deal bonus energy damage equal to a third of Dagger’s Attack for every bar of power lost.

Heavy Attacks

- Charging heavy attacks allows Dagger to charge her light daggers, gaining passive Precisions, each increasing Critical Rating by 10% until Dagger releases her heavy attack.

- Weakness lowers the opponent’s Attack by 50% for 12 seconds.

Special 1

- Dagger launches three light daggers at the opponent.
- Each has a 50% chance to inflict Armor Break, reducing enemy armor by 50%.
- If all three hits would inflict Armor Break, instead inflict an Exposed Passive. Exposed has the properties of an Armor Break, reduces all enemy armor and resistances by 100%, and prevents the opponent from activating any armor effects for 12 seconds.

Special 2

- Dagger releases a bright blast of light energy, followed by a tight wall of her light daggers.
- 100% chance to inflict Disorient for 12 seconds, reducing defensive ability accuracy and block proficiency by 50%. Dagger gains True Strike while this debuff is active.

Special 3

- Dagger discharges all of her stored light energy, emitting light energy and light daggers in all directions.
- 100% chance to inflict an Expose Passive for 12 seconds.
- 100% chance to inflict Disorient for 12 seconds, reducing defensive ability accuracy and block proficiency by 50%. Dagger gains True Strike while this debuff is active.
- Health stolen by this attack recovers 100% more health.

Weekly Update on the Summoner community Ranker list of most-requested champs.

Retirement Party Again!
You saw this coming: Mister Sinister entered the Contest this week! Until late December 2018, Mister Sinister was ranked near the top-10 most requested champs week-in, week-out. At Christmas an influx of downvotes greatly demoted several iconic villains, including Mystique, Lizard, and Scorpion. Sinister was among this list, and finished his tenure ranked in the high 290s. (Let that remind you to search far down the list to vote for big names or random favorites!) Sinister was ranked low because of his many downvotes, but he also had more upvotes than most characters on the list.

Thank you Kabam! It's always a pleasure to retiring champ from the Summoners' wishlist.

The list saw some low-ranked love this week. Bushmaster (John McIver/Netflix) (#371-#285), Bushwacker (#372-#283), and The Russian (#369-#291) each moved up more than 75 spots. Venom the Raccoon (#374-#299), Iron Duck (#362-#294), Doorman (#359-#295) and Mantis (#338-#287), each gained more than 50 places on the list. Tiger-Shark (#337-#288), Doop (#352-#303), and Absorbing Man (#144-#101) also got big bumps this week.

I would love to see ANCIENT ONE AND KAECILUS from doctor strange in the game. i have thought of THEIR abilities such as

1. ANCIENT ONE
1.POWER GAIN
2. POWER LOCK
3. NULLIFY
4. POWER SEAL (i have thought of this new ability for her) :- she can seal the power by which the opponents power meter wont be getting affected but he/she wont be able to be his special attacks. this will make her quit a good champ for AW attack and against power gain champ like hyperion}.
5.mirror protection:- she can use mirror dimension(more than MORDO who only shows it in sp3 ) for defense in beginning of the fight and get back a part of health she lost during that mode.
SIGNATURE ABILITY :- WHEN EVER SHE IS BELOW 30% HEALTH SHE WILL START ABSORBING OPPONENTS DARK ENERGY(WHICH WILL BE HIGH IN VILLAIN AND LOW IN HEROES) AND THIS WILL GIVE HER TRUE STRIKE, CRUELTY AND HEALTH LEACH (SIMILAR TO POWER LEACH). HEALTH LEACH DEPENDS ON SIG NO.

I’d also like to see a reskinned Storm with the solid black suit and tons of hair.

I think Jubilee would also be an interesting add that could introduce abilities we really haven’t seen yet.

I'd like to see an Apocalypse that has a "Power Amp" synergy that works like heimdall's synergy and the "Courage" skill where when a champs health drops below 50% they get a 30% damage increase for 20 seconds
