Hello,

Synergies do not work on Alliance War Defence. Unfortunately, we don't have any new information to share about the status of Defense Synergies at this time. When we do, we'll be sure to let everyone know.

There is your answer, they don't work and haven't in years and I am not sure if they should ever come back due to then creating a lot of unqiue ones with some crazy abilities that could make some fights even more frustrating and irritating that they already all.

Agreed @Darkstar4387 , no need for them in AW Defense. I'm sure that would come with unintended interactions with nodes making some champs damn near invincible. It's probably never gonna happen.
