Tier 11 war with tier 9 nodes

My alliance is currently in defence placement mode and we are at tier 11

However as we are placing our defenders we realize the nodes are not the usual for tier 11,more like for tier 9

Anybody else facing this? Would like to know if this is a bug or because our Opponent is in tier 9 hence that is why the nodes are from higher tier

It’s not a big but merely a stupid mechanic in the AW system. It’s a 50/50 chance for which tier will effect the nodes. I also noticed this a while when my alliance was in tier 6 and the opponent was in tier 5. The nodes were tier 5 nodes and we thought it was extremely stupid since it made it harder for us and we don’t even get the tier 5 rewards if we won. It’s stupid but it’s not a bug.

Thanks for the info...never match against higher tier Opponents in previous war so got a little confused with the node
