Loyalty spend not recorded in Loyalty Alliance Event

I bought a greater glory crystal after the loyalty alliance event had started but nothing was recorded, anyone else seen anything similar?

maybe because you buy glory crystals with glory, not loyalty? and to participate in loyalty alliance event you need spend loyalty
