Arenas: How to pick the easiest team to maintain winning streak

Apologies for the somewhat rookie question but I don't know how exactly to word it so I'm struggling to search.

Re: Arens, when selecting one of the 3 teams we have for fighting, the game shows the team total PI, the best champ and his PI, and the difficulty level. However, many times "EASY" is not necessarily the lowest team total PI... in fact, sometimes is quite inflated... and hey, I can't stop freaking out and going for the medium/hard with much lower total PI.

All other factors aside (champs particularities, classes, etc), what's the theory behind these, and which option you advise me to go for in order to have the easier/smother fights? I'm mostly looking to keep the winning streak here when grinding.

I assume this is related to masteries (or not?!) but not fully understand what's the criteria here.

Of the 3 opponent choices, bottom one (higher rating) typically because suicide Masteries (or other high modifying masteries) are in place, whereas topmost choice has simpler Masteries so lower rating.
“Easy” vs “Hard” might also be due to opponent heroes and how they could matchup (class advantage/disadvantage, or maybe the heroes themselves ?) against your team.

@SummonerNR this is awesome!!! thanks, really appreciate it. Will have a look on the other link you shared. Got the grits of how things work, however (don't kill me here just yet), which one would you go for? The lowest rated and masters of what Kabam calls "easy"?

Here's an example just now... rationally, would go for the lowest rating.. but then kabam says bottom one easier. Got your concepts, but which one should I go for (decisions... decisions ...?!?):

I’d typically do the lower rated, and then also base it on if one of my 3 heroes would have class advantage against the “primary” visible hero on either of the 3 choices, and whether you know you will have a hard time against one of the visible choices.

Also, pay attention to the individual rating of the visible choices, not just the overall team rating (in case computer put together an “unbalanced” team as one of the options, see other thread regarding this)

Edited: so you know your Iceman would have Class Advantage over Blade (and also immune to his bleed), so would probably pick that one.

Thanks, all makes complete sense - at least the "hardest one" is covered. Thanks for the nudge on the unbalanced teams - I did read a lot about the sandbag strategy and makes sense. Cheers!
