Rotten Tomatoes is a mess. When Travolta's Gotti was coming out, it had an inflated audience score https://indiewire.com/2018/06/gotti-rotten-tomatoes-user-score-manipulation-1201976664/

The opposite direction seems to have happened for Captain Marvel. RT probably made the right move blocking trolls from manipulating the score.

It's just an audience anticipation rating, which no one should take seriously at all whether it is positive or not, in terms of how good the movie might actually be. None of those people have seen the movie.

People gave the Captain Marvel movie unfavorable pre-release ratings. It was trolls OR misogynists OR backlash from aggressive marketing. Who knows? It won’t stop the movie from becoming just barely profitable if that with Hollywood accounting.

It's actually funny because everyone knows it's going to make alot of money no matter what. People have good faith in marvel studios. And for good reason.
