The 1% health bar

Ok I have to bring this up...

In the last month I have noticed a rather interesting, repetitive scenario.

When attacking a defender, and when I am at the end of a 4 or 5 hit combo, the kind that will KO the defender, the health bar stops at 1%, giving the defender a kind of 2nd chance or a « cheat death » type of silence buff.

And this started last month and it showed no signs of stopping. It started in Arena’s and now in event quests.

Please Give us an update on this situation #kabamMike

I totally agree. But for me, this started after the update. Especially in Arenas, opponents are enduring hits left and right which should've killed them.

I have actually noticed this to. It’s needs to be fixed.

It's been a thing for a long time.
A lot of people have reported it but also a lot of people just say "hit them again" or "you didn't do enough damage to ko them"

In which scenario should a 4/55 SL only deal 2k damage on an S2 crit with a 60+ combo to leave 1% health?

You only notice when it happens because it impacts you negatively. I have had it happen and I have been the one to escape the fight with 1% too. It's just like poker players who only remember when they take a bad beat and not when they give them.

I noticed some what different. Ai is playing like **** and you are getting them down to that 1% and all of a sudden the AI is pro player 100 hit combo on you cant block or parry it. It's like the AI baited you to get it to 1% and then boom super uncollected level AI that hits harder and faster.

The advanced AI thing I have noticed, but never when they are that low on health. I always see it happen when they get down to about 10-15%. It only lasts for one combo too, so if I weather that one combo I finish them immediately after. I always chocked it up to the program making sure I lose some health before moving on. I don't appreciate it, but this has been a signature of fighting games as far back as I can remember.
