It's only just clicked why they're called that. Sometimes my brain is slow.
Corvus is the scientific name for Raven. Ravens are usually black.
Proxima Midnight. This one is obvious....
Ebony Maw. Ebony is a heavy blackish or very dark brown timber from a mainly tropical tree
Cull Obsidian. Obsidian is a hard, dark, glasslike volcanic rock formed by the rapid solidification of lava without crystallization.
I feel stupid for not thinking of this earlier.

Corvus is a Constellation.
Proxima is Proxima Centauri, the closest star to our own.
Black Dwarf (Cull Obsidian) is a theoretical idea that when a White Dwarf star finally dies, it leaves a Black Dwarf behind.
Supergiant is a type of Star.
Ebony Maw... I've got nothing for. Closest thing is that Ebony is Black, a Maw is a mouth, which is a hole. Black Hole. But that's a big stretch.
I also noticed this a while back and went "Huh, I see what you did there."
Ronin I get, hero who is a version of someone who'd been in several films. Corvus and Proxima I get, as they were released with the release of the movie they were in. This is just a year too late for me.
It all depends on how the Avenger's "undo" Thanos' finger snap.
It doesn't really explain why the two names, but it at least shows them lol. Still a good write up on the team. If you're really interested in it, then you should read Jonathan Hickman's infinity run (and the tie-ins). Great storyline.
