  You beat them in attack bonus, but got beat in defenders remaining, diversity, and exploration. Alliance war and alliance quest are about more than just skill, though that should always be a major part of it. Unfortunately, yes it can sometimes come down to who’s willing to pay more and attack bonus mitigates that power to an extent, but I think that’s beside the point in this case because that’s not all this war came down to. You missed several defenders that gave them the edge in two categories. Alliance war and alliance quest are also very much about planning and coordination as a BG and as an alliance and if time zone differences are what caused you to miss those last defenders, then planning and coordination is where you lost this war.
