Time to Take a Little Class Trip!

Summoners!

It’s time to take a little trip with your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man! He’s heading away with some of his classmates on a well deserved vacation. Unfortunately for Spider-Man, his chaperone has other things planned for him…

Nick Fury has requested that our Summoners join in on the new Event, Spider-Man: Class Trip!

This limited-time Quest will have four Chapters, with a new Chapter opening every Wednesday. To choose your difficulty you’ll need to gather S.H.I.E.L.D. Markers throughout The Battlerealm and trade them in for Tiered Permission Slips.

The Quests!

Starting July 3, 10:00 AM PDT, SPIDER-MAN: CLASS TRIP will become available. This Quest has 4 Chapters, and will begin with the first Chapter unlocked. The next Chapter will be unlocked every Wednesday until the event ends on August 7 10:00 AM PDT. To enter each chapter, you’ll need to spend a Permission Slip! These can be purchased in the Souvenir Store. Each Difficulty requires a different tier of Permission Slip.

Here’s a breakdown of their costs:

Level 1 Permission Slip (Beginner Difficulty) - 150 S.H.I.E.L.D. Markers
Level 2 Permission Slip (Normal Difficulty) - 250 S.H.I.E.L.D. Markers (Available for Contenders and beyond)
Level 3 Permission Slip (Heroic Difficulty) - 500 S.H.I.E.L.D. Markers (Available for Proven and beyond)
Level 4 Permission Slip (Master Difficulty) - 750 S.H.I.E.L.D. Markers (Available for Conqueror and beyond)
Level 5 Permission Slip (Epic Difficulty) - 1000 S.H.I.E.L.D. Markers (Available for Uncollected and beyond)

Each Quest has 3 paths. On some Difficulties there will be Paths with a Champion Gate, These Gates can only be unlocked if you have that specific Champions on your team. That Champion can be of any Rarity and must be on your team in the Quest in order to unlock the Gate. You'll need a variety of Champions from the Spider-Verse to explore the entirety of these Quests.

Don’t have one of these Champions? Don’t worry! On the Final week of the Event, we’ll be launching new Special Objectives that reward you with a 2-Star Version of the Champion for defeating them 50 times in Arenas, Quests, or Duels!

You’ll also earn Homesick Crystal Shards in Special Objectives that start on July 3rd. These Crystals guarantee at least a 2-Star with a rare chance at a 3 or 4-Star Agent Venom, Carnage, Doctor Octopus, Electro, Green Goblin, Iron Patriot, Rhino, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man (Classic), Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Spider-Man (Stark Enhanced), Spider-Man (Symbiote), Symbiote Supreme, Venom, Venom the Duck, Venompool or Vulture. (4-Star Rhino not included).

Where do I get those S.H.I.E.L.D. Markers?

There are 3 places to collect S.H.I.E.L.D. Markers:

- You can find them by completing Special Objectives with Spider-Verse Heroes, Sinister Six, or Symbiote Champions.
- You can collect them from a special Login Calendar
- Completing Class Trip Quests.

Then you take those markers, and head over to the Souvenir Store to trade them in for Permission Slips, special Profile Pics (for 1000 Markers each), and more as the month goes on!

Have spare S.H.I.E.L.D. Markers? In the last week of the event, we’ll be adding a selection of items for you to spend your spare Markers on! These items are not as good as the rewards that you can earn in the Class Trip quests, so if you can do the Quests, we suggest doing those first!

I'd say the rewards look to be reasonably good. Yes, it's not 'fall out of your chair' level amazing rewards, but I think that if Kabam properly balances the difficulty of the quests, it'll be a pretty dang good event.

And because I can't see it in this forum post yet... is the difficulty planned to be similar to the relevant monthly event quests? I mean I can wait for the event to come out, but it'd be nice to know beforehand...

Yes. Yes they did... they expect variant rewards for a fraction of the difficulty and time needed. Thats nothing new.
The thing about those people complaining is that they are crazy spoiled. Since they got something once they want better the next time. Its extremely annoying.
And some people on here wonder why kabam "never listens" to them.
Its because of **** like this, why is it so difficult to just take something for what it is. Dont like it dont play it.
And yes as usual most will probably hate on guys like us speaking the truth
Yes but kabam has constantly remarked that they have massively increased the amount of 5* and 6* shards since 6:1 and to be honest it’s yet to be seen
I don’t mind if they make it difficult but right now the amount doesn’t seem to have changed unless you count cavalier crystals

They never said massively. In addition they have increased the amount of shard. You use to rarely get 6*s or they would be a lower number, now they are consistently offering 1k or higher. The same with 5*s. Just because they are not giving you a free 5* or 6* a month does not make their statement wrong.

While the word massively is not used kabam mike did say several large meta events which I don’t think we’ve seen a lot of correct me I’m wrong

Since that announcement weve had a few (bounty things were huge)

RNG rifts gave me 2 feature 5 star crystals in a single month(30k shards I wouldnt have had)
So they are sticking to that imo
Rifts were not huge I got absolutely nothing I’ve done 6 and gotten 1k 5* shards 500 6* shards and 5 mutant and tech stones about to do a 7th so maybe that’ll be better but I’ll agree the bounty missions were amazing

Ao you are not comparing events, but what RNG gave you, not as a whole. Rifts gave giant rewards, you may have not gotten any, but that does not change how huge they were. It is not all about you. I told you in the other thread, you want static, you are not going to get rift caliber rewards on startic very often.

This is a game for the long run if you havent noticed. The usual suspects come here for every event announced to complain about the rewards. The rewards are just fine as long as the difficulty is arouns equal to its respected EQ difficulty. And until we know exactly that for sure there is no reason to complain. This happens every time and its not like they are going to change them so just deal with it and get to the grind

Ye I’m not complaining about difficulty and to be honest the rewards are probably on par with said difficulty
I think kabam just needs to add more ways to get extra 5* and 6* shards even it means adding another tier of difficulty

Thank you for this—the operative part is “more accessible than ever, and will continue to become more accessible.”

Surely, part of this increased accessibility is the opportunity to spend resources (real and/or in game) for a chance at 5/6* champs. Presumably, that’s what’s meant by “introduction of the Cavalier progression point” (I suppose the addition of shards in the Cav daily is part of this, but that’s such a negligible chance I don’t believe it deserves any weight).

But I think three main reasons for the disillusionment with that “accessibility” statement are (1) the fact that EQ rewards continue to remain relatively static, (2) nothing to my knowledge has been done to increase accessibility via arena, and (3) some other rewards haven’t seen a significant uptick (AW, for example). Sure, Special Events help, but their yields tend to be variable and sporadic and may not even be shards or champ crystals.

Cast all of that into the context of Rarity Gates plus continued dilution of the champ pool (unless you spent real $ on a slightly less-diluted class specific 5* deal) and it’s easy to understand why players don’t embrace the “accessibility” promise.

Technically, it is true, but technicalities aren’t the stuff of inspiration. Hence the disillusionment.

So lets compare the 2

Both give a legendary crystal
Both give a full 5*, or at least the value in shards
GGTTM gave 7300 more 5* shards
This event gives 1k 6* shares
GGTTM gave 15 cinematic crystals that should not be valuable since it was a rare chance at a 4*, as well as 2500 4* shards
This event gives a ton of rank up materials

If you think GGTTM was better rewards I don’t know what to tell you, because objectively this event is vastly superior. I will take 1k 6* shards over 7200 5* shards any day, plus the rank up.

@Kabam Miike correct me if I’m wrong, but I see it nearly impossible for a beginner to defeat all of these characters 50 times in one week. They aren’t even available to fight at that stage, let alone are they going to have the time or energy for that. I think that defeating overall spiderverse champs 50 times is reasonable and should reward all of the champs as 2* characters. Of, just defeat them 10 times? Even an arena like gwenpool goes to the movies. I just think it will be really hard for beginners to clear this content, and if you’re not aiming it at them, you’re not really hitting the market with the horde of new played coming with spiderman. I think this way to gain champs should be reconsidered.

I mean I get that most people are still building up a solid roster and every crystal is another chance at something helpful, but with the pool as large as it is, the odds of an extra 5k shards drastically changing your account are quite low. Rank resources are a gaureenteed positive result that either let you rank a current champion or at the least stash until you pull someone worthwhile

just seems strange that a year old event gave us a guaranteed 5 star Cinematic Crystal, while this event just gives us the legendary crystal which was the reward from the last years master...

Though there are legends here who expect more rewards like 6 star shards ( and they should ), but i like the rewards of heroic where 2 four star crystals are being given ( i still care about 4 stars 😂 )

I'm aware master and epic rewards are meh, but heroic actually seems alright. They also arent rng based. I'd say it's far from the best event we've ever had, but far from the worst.
