Any use for king groot?

After absolutely tons of grinding for a 4* crystal... I end up with THIS guy. People claim hes exceptionally useless, is he even good for Alliance war defense? Does he even have a use?

Offensively, no. However, he has a massive health pool and a decent regeneration, so he can be alright for defence on certain nodes a former alliance member of mine always put his on an enhanced regen node, and always got at least 3 kills. Another one had all his timed out to death by one on an enhanced armour node.

I'll be one of the few to say it, I enjoy KG. He was my first 4* and I had him on the back burner after I got more till I awakened him. He has one of the higher health pools so he can take a long time to defeat if on the right node. Offense wise, he has helped me through a lot of content due to the regen after his dupe. I was even able to get to wolvie in ROL using him (granted it was 30 min a fight and I do not reccomend unless you're absolutely bored).

Long story short, he usually isn't a go to character, but after duping and his health pool, he can help carry you in quests if you don't mind taking some time to defeat a champ.

I used mine in micro variant. By far my worst option, but he was an XL body to use. Regen from s3 keeps him sustainable, but they're long fights due to his low damage output

Well, I don't think anything is genuinely useless, although some champs get overshadowed by other champs more quickly than others. He's bleed immune, he's pretty tanky, he has regen, and he can land permanent armor breaks. That's an interesting toolbox, and it can be useful in certain circumstances.

On defense it depends on tier and path. Before I stepped back from competitive AW I could regularly get kills with regular Groot with surprise placement. In tier 5 and 6. That wasn't supposed to be possible, but I could get at least one kill more than 75% of the time in tier 6, and occasionally in tier 5.

The developers are trying (and not always succeeding) to make content that challenges players to assemble teams with certain advantages. King Groot can permanently armor break Mysterio. Is he the best choice for Mysterio? Probably not: he isn't poison immune. But depending on what the rest of your roster looks like, he might be an interesting option for certain fights.

Try fighting a KM. Sp1 when he has furies for permanent armor break. No more reverb through the fight.

Deals poison, bleed immune, regen, and i believe good health pool and block proficiency. So he can take some hits. But an interesting feature he has is permanent armor break. You can stack up to 9 but it does take a while (you use up furies which take 16 seconds to gain). So he seems like a decent option for long matches.

They poison is actually not bad, if you applie it with the furies active you can get up to 600 per tick...
Which isnt to great because the ticks take are really only dealt by sp2...
But dont be sad, youre 4 star luck will come, my first one was OML then Winter soldier, then again OML and then storm... And guess who i liked most: OML... Ist always about what you make of the champs you get! Dont care about what People think about a champ, just test him out and see how much what he can do for you!
