Are 3* worth anything besides arena grind?

I have about four three stars, that are over 2,000, and more powerful than some of my 4*.
Is it worth putting them in WARS, or QUESTS? I don't think so, but curious what everyone thinks.

Certain ones are useful for synergy’s aswell as arena.

Sometimes a specific Champ is required to clear content. Or will have a by far easyer Day with him.
I dont know if He does it now but in the past seatin used to play Master eq with 3*.
I wont sell them. And if the resouces are around Level Up who seems usefull and is not in you roster at a higher Star Level.

Duped ronan is a prominent and returning example of usefull 3*

All these three stars are duped, and over 1,000 as far as hero rating.
So, they could be worth using on master quests?

I don't have a hyperion, or a captain American IW in 4*.
I do have them both duped, as three stars, and over 2,000.
Would they both be worth putting in the fighting team?
OR Alliance War?

Yes, if they are stronger than your 4stars at the moment then there is no reason to use 4stars over them

Thanks Diablos. I was just worried that they would be EASIER to defeat.
That's why I tend to put all my 4*, in the war, as defenders, because I have enough of them to fill the AW roster, but at times, I want to use those champions, for my own advancement, rather than always AW.

Honestly at a certain point they arent worth much even when it comes to arena grind. They are collectables and nothing more at a certain point.

The short answer is you use the best you have, and depending on your progress level the best you have might be 3* champs. The different star tiers overlap in power in general, and then different champs have different strengths that can make them more useful in some situations even when you have champs with much higher PI rating.

For example, a maxed awakened 3* Scarlet Witch can be an extremely strong attacker, sometimes doing better than equal or sometimes superior rating 4* champs (sometimes even low ranked 5* champs). A 3* Domino or Mordo is probably going to be a harder defender to kill than a 4* Iron Man when placed on defense because those champs have special abilities that makes them harder to kill even when they might have less attack and health, whereas Iron Man has animations that are far easier to evade and doesn't have similar nasty defensive abilities.

Because different situations call for different kinds of abilities and champions have different strengths and weaknesses, part of getting better at this game is learning those and knowing when a 2000 rating 3* might be better than a 3000 rating 4*. In fact, you'll discover after a while that most people don't even talk about or refer to rating most of the time when talking about their own champs. They just mention the champion itself (Mordo, Ghost, Hyperion) and the star rating and rank, i.e. 5* rank 3, or 4/55 (which is implicitly a 5* champion because the highest you can level a rank 4 4* is a 4/40).

So I might say a 3* 4/40 Scarlet Witch (SW) is better on attack than a 4* 5/50 Iron Man in many situations, or a 3* 4/40 Mordo might be better on defense than a 4* 5/50 Karnak.

I use my 3* Corvus thats maxed and is about 54 sig level for defence in aw

I used maxed 3* through the first 3 chapters of Act 4. Have not gone deep into chapter 4 yet, but I don't think they will be very useful to me there. Better players than I am would probably have better results so YMMV I guess. But yeah I mostly use them for arena.

If you can get a 3* version of new champs, you get to play and understand its mechanics which will help you when facing them in quest, aw or arena.

Idk if anyone said this, but awhile ago there was a side event quest where only 2,3,4 star champs could be used respectively. So I maxed some 3*s for that. (One quest was 2*s, another 3*s, etc)

But you mid- players they can be use as gates or for synergy testing or for practice with winter solider in rol

My Human Torch, Captain Bree, Thing, Namor, and Stealth Spidey are all 3* and I'm enjoying the heck out of these newer champs. Some players behave as if the endgame is all there is.

I still Grind every new 3*. I don't use them outside of the Arena, or Special Events that are Champ-specific. Still, I like collecting, and they come in handy at times when we need that particular Champ.

Not really worth using except for specific champion gates and the rank up event. That’s about it.
